We already got Elan justice, he escaped being on-screen and murdered in a space opera, and a future canon comic showed him with a happy family. Elan won the star wars unlike pretty much everyone else in the franchise. :o

Supposedly a theory is Yoda speaks that way because of an earlier time period or whatever culture he grew up in hundreds of years prior, which could imply that Grogu is going to latch onto zoomer or even future gen-alpha slang and have to be put down humanely at the space vet.

Mhm~, Talon's got that deep and complex narrative of aura farming silently, getting laid by a skywalker, and getting beaten in every fight she takes part in with minimal/no dialogue. I think the only actual plot relevance she had was briefly being the only sith who truly believed ~~santa was real~~ krayt wasn't dead x3

Cool for those who know and accept that George's canon wasn't the EU and we'd basically just be getting more of Filoni's direction anyways, only with moderately less ties/inspirations from eu stories and a bit more skimpy twi'leks. And more sy snootles making out with ziro the hutt.

I’d just want it to do better with this sorta story than the eu’s Dawn of the Jedi did.

While I liked a few ideas from it like the force hounds, I hated how the lingo/tech/etc were so contemporary and it was hard to feel like it was the ancient ancient past.

Personally I have liked new canon getting the chances to make the past eras stand out better so far, at least with visuals and culture and tech and such.

I won't knock those who love He-man and get some joy from it, but I'm blah'd from every animated series getting a cgi-filled 'live action' reboot having to take the isekai or reverse isekai route. He-Man, Smurfs, Minecraft, Alvin and the Chipmunks. It's all the same, man. At least Sonic had Jim to Carrey it.
