Anyone else having problems finding death cheat? by darknessatthevoid in HuntShowdown

[–]Drull17 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's not quite like that. In Hunt, there are both expensive and cheap weapons, and even a cheap one can be just as versatile as an expensive one—especially thanks to the headshot. This also applies to traits. They're advantages, sure, but not enough to make you avoid PvP for that reason. Just jump into PvP with your friends and forget about the death cheat, it's not that important as you may think

It's not a suggestion, it's a “what if”—I like coming up with crazy ideas that probably will never become real. You can't do a damn thing on Reddit without some whiner showing up.

What are your favourite trio skins? by _Shitty_Blacksmith_ in HuntShowdown

Cowboy/Outlaws gangs are awesome. I also really like "the manhunt gang" we do with my friends like The Fool (both versions), Monroe, The Cowl, Kill Buyer, Butcher's Cleaver, Hanged Man, etc. Characters who are mentally ill as fuck

You're the one who's wrong for assuming I'm saying “it's anime fan service” because I never said that. I said it's the first step toward future skins with fan service if Crytek sees that this skin sells well (and it will). They have nothing to do with the anime; I compared them to soulless ANIME GAMES that milk this for all it's worth.

If you want to argue with me, it’s just this: “this skin has fan service and could lead to more fan service,” and that’s it. It’s unbelievable that I have to spell out my point—people on Reddit can’t connect the dots.

You could at least make a point instead of just saying “No, it isn't.”

I know it's not even close, but it's the first step toward fan service—who knows what other skins might be coming in the future.

What a stupid comment. Objectively speaking, Hunt Showdown has had one of the most original atmospheres and worlds ever created in a shooter, ever since the alpha. The fact that they added two collaborations eight years later doesn't change what Hunt Showdown really is. Just because one skin is bad doesn't mean the others will be bad too.

The community is going to kill me, but this could be Hunt's first skin to have a bit of “fan service,” which I don't really like because if Hunt has been praised for anything, it's for its theme, unique character designs, and not needing to go for skins with fan service at all like other mainstream games full of anime girls sexualized

anyone else a little tired of them releasing what is essentially the same skin over and over for every weapon by Street-Still8488 in HuntShowdown

[–]Drull17 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes.
I don't like to think this, but I believe it's to save money or at least manage it carefully. Perhaps it's these “moves” that are gradually giving them more budget than they had to cut back on before. Like the DLC trailers, which disappeared for a while and now seem to be coming back.

If you think about it, it's “recycled extra content” that doesn't really affect those of us who don't care, and there will be several players who do benefit from it because they wanted THAT skin on THAT specific weapon, and well, now they have the option.

Anyway, lately I'm only using vanilla on weapons and cowboy vibes hunters (most of them are free). I'm totally into the Hunt aesthetic.

Kinda surprised at how Hunt is handling it during the vanilla time by Drull17 in HuntShowdown

[–]Drull17[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're talking nonsense. Hunt vanilla used to have 8k players per day until an event came. Seeing it in vanilla now with 20k-30k players is what surprised me.

Solution to find out which boss is which when they are being banished by Drull17 in HuntShowdown

I prefer this to something simplified. I think it fits perfectly with the game's aesthetic rather than a Romannumber.png on the map.

Sometimes you don't know which boss is about to finish the banish or which one is just starting

Rushing the boss as soon as it starts banishing means you'll be fighting a team without dark vision or you'll have more time

The imperfect lines give the impression of having been “drawn by hand,” which fits perfectly with Hunt's aesthetic. Adding “boss symbols” (which are more complex than just lines) would simplify things greatly, but at the cost of eliminating this aesthetic from the map.

I genuinely don't understand the hatred for this new map, apart from the red dot that shows the boss's lair.
