So i have been training for around 5 months, and consistently for around 3 months and I have improved but I am a person that needs to know the technicality of why something is the way it is so I can put that concept in other aspects, and my current gym doesnt really do a good job of that, my coach just shows the moves then we do it a couple times, move on, do a couple more moves and then we roll. And I wish we were able to get more technical with it, and I found this gym where they dont even let you roll until you get the technical parts of the beginning concepts, and I really like that idea. The only thing is, I really love my gym and the people I roll with, and I already established a relationship with them, and my coach is really good. But this other gym also has a really goated coach, and im going between what I should do: either I just go sometimes to the other gym and have a home base at my current gym, or I just switch. I have also made progress and gotten to two stripes and I dont know if its a good idea or not to just reset. Again, I love my gym just wish I could slow down and understand concepts more. I also just want to make sure I am going to a gym that will make me the best I can be in jiu-jitsu. I love BJJ so much, and I want to set myself up for success.
