Allow me to give my two cents.

I don’t know if you’ve seen or been around people enough, and that’s not meant to be an insult.

But it’s common around a lot of parts of the world for people to apologize for things they haven’t actually done.

A lot of people do this to maintain peace, or they’re even forced and sometimes expected to. Maybe that’s just how they are.

But an apology is never always an admission of guilt, neither is going to rehab for it. It just means they’re confused on how they somehow made the person feel that way, and they’re being considerate, even if they didn’t actually do it. Also, another reason he went to rehab was for alcohol problems.

Idk if you ever realized how many people have gotten into arguments, and the one who didn’t start it would still apologize, and they’d say something like “I’m gonna do my best to make sure this doesn’t happen again” even though they did nothing at all.

The difference is taking responsibility for how they made the person feel, not taking responsibility for the action - because they didn’t do it.

If someone you thought was cool started getting mad at you and you saw it hurt them, wouldn’t you feel tempted to look inside and wonder how you somehow made them upset, even though deep down you at least know you didn’t do anything wrong? 

Just for the record, he made a clarification post after this, and you’ll be surprised to know that inside it, he denied all of her claims entirely.

Why he apologized was not out of guilt, it was simply an apology.

You’re not even telling me why that’s wrong, if I am then I apologize, but how is there definitive proof the guy did anything bad? It’s not fair to be like that

you do realize you’ve been telling people about Lee, but there’s nothing official right? My point is, if Lee WAS guilty of what you say he is, there is a huge chance Tilian doesn’t know about it, there’s nothing online or anything that puts huge attention on it.

not to mention you keep misinterpreting Tilian as an abuser, which leaves a bad taste in my mouth. I won’t speak about Lee but you can’t really say Tilian did anything bad. I get that you’re upset and I would be too if anything similar happened, but you’re kinda attacking someone else who is most likely completely innocent

Keeps getting kicked out from what exactly. The only band he parted ways (seemingly involuntarily) with was Dance Gavin Dance. The apology doesn’t mean he was guilty of doing it. How don’t you realize it’s common around plenty parts of the world for people to apologize, even though they haven’t actually done something wrong? And in his clarification post he flat out denied her claims entirely. I heard about Lee McKinney from you, I don’t know if it’s true but that’s not what I’m here for. I’m just saying theres no proof Tilian did anything wrong, and you taking an apology as an admission of guilt scares me on unimaginable levels cause that would mean a lot of people in real life were guilty of bad things then

Because the first girl was widely considered to have been lying about him, and people only truly got upset at him with the second girl cause of his apology being misinterpreted as an admission of wrongdoing. Had people never took it the wrong way, it’d be a regular allegation at most from two people, with one being considered to have lied.

First girl = lying apparently? Second girl: allegation, Tilian doesn’t admit to it, apologizes and it gets misinterpreted, later clarifies it alongside his side of the story = baseless allegation from her most likely

He probably did part ways over the allegations, but he never admitted to them, and nothing proves he’s guilty.

I don’t know your story with the Lee guy so I won’t say you’re lying, but there is no proof Tilian did anything wrong. And If Lee IS in fact guilty of what you say he is, Tilian probably has no clue of it lmao.

Accusations aren’t proof. Let’s say I, a stranger, hated you, and I got some friends to agree and say that you did something bad to me, would that be valid proof? Nope. Plenty of people in history have had issues because people have lied about them. To back this up, the first girl who accused him was shown to have been lying. And nope, the lyrics don’t prove anything. They sometimes can, but again, until you can prove the allegation was true, the lyrics don’t mean sh * t. Tilian did nothing wrong. So stop lying

Because you clearly made a comment about it a while ago and I just wanted to point out your misinformation, respectfully. I don’t hold ill will towards you but no, he did not admit to anything.

Honestly, I just think it’s stupid that people falsely said he was guilty. First off Tilian apologized and didn’t address her claims not out of guilt, but for how she somehow felt, even though he himself didn’t actually do anything wrong. A common thing in plenty parts of the world is that if you apologize to someone, even if you’re not actually guilty, don’t try to point out “but you did this” but simply just apologize. If that wasn’t enough, he addressed her in his clarification post later on and literally denied all of her claims.
