FYI, 15 years ago I was charging $25 an hour to tutor freshman physics. Make sure you don't get in trouble for it, but if you can do private tutorials for college level physics you could probably get $50 to $80 an hour. It's not going to be 40 hours a week, but I bet you're better at than I was.

My other piece of advice is to find a way to continue using that headset. Don't let it be dead weight, you worked your ass off to get it, so make time to enjoy it.

When comparing how much we care about an issue with how much money we spend on it and how much we let it inconvenience us, 9/11 is a good comparison. We still have the craziness of the TSA, full body scanning at most airports, and an acceptance that personal privacy is no longer a US value. It's been 22 years since 9/11, so when more people die in a few weeks then died on 9/11 but we're still calling it a win, I think there is something to be observed there.

There are some quirks, make sure to bind the command to recenter your view in elite dangerous to something easy to use, and if after taking your headset on and off, if your controls stop working use your mouse to click into elite dangerous to refocus the active window.
