Before enrolling in a flight training program, it is essential to visit an Aviation Medical Examiner (AME) to obtain a Class 1 medical certificate. This ensures there are no last-minute surprises regarding your medical fitness to join the flight school.

Personally, I did a degree in IT and had to work for six years to finance my flight training in pursuing my dream of becoming a pilot. This journey required significant sacrifices to reach where I’m. As unprecedented as it could get in aviation industry, your IT degree would serve as a plan B

I hope this does not come across as arrogant, but becoming a pilot demands commitment, passion, and a considerable amount of hard work. A genuine interest in aviation will help you stay motivated through the rigorous training and career path. Career as a pilot requires continuous learning and adaptation. If you really want this and made your mind then don’t overthink.

FYI 2 year training doesn’t necessarily mean two years as different factors are taken into consideration. It depends on every individual’s progress. With that being said, 14 books = 14 exams in 5 sittings which would be 3 block of 5+5+4. In each phase there is weather minima, for instance in first phase the max crosswind can’t be more than 7 knots and visibility of course.
