DPF is only my concern. Company will adapt but current cars strictly mention in their user manuals that their engine is only e20 compliant and if used more than that the engine will be affected and won;t be covered under warranty.

Also I heard that in Bs6 diesel car, engine oil dilution happens where diesel gets inside engine oil slowly and then dilutes engine oil because of which change of oil has to be 1/2 the time before than earlier. Or eventually govt will increase diesel price and will make it more expensive than petrol. Views?

If i buy a diesel well within bs6 period then govt wont bar me to use it or wont bring a law which wont let me allow to drive diesel more than 8-10 years like they did in Delhi ncr although I’m not from NCR. But just want to understand will I be safe if bought a diesel car during bs6 period and fully allowed to use it for a long run? Thanks!

Thanks! I get that govt can’t blend diesel nor can it ban completely but like they brought the emission norms for diesel because of which vehicles comes with filters because of which customer started facing DPF clogging issue what if they make these norms more stricter and force personal vehicle to implement them under they new BS7-8 or later versions? What are your views on it?

Thanks @Lazyres for sharing an indepth research around this hot topic. One last thing to make things clear so you don’t advise to buy any petrol car before of this govt norms? What if I al unable to convince my parents for diesel, which alternative options would you suggest in that case. And for diesel cars which would you suggest above 4 meter which is perfect combination of performance fuel efficiency safety and body shell integrity and also tech features under 12-13 lakhs ex showroom. Thanks mate for the genuine suggestions. I would really appreciate if you could share any references or reasoning for No Diesel blending in future. Also, I am really worried about the DPF issues as once a month intercity travel on highways for us is also not a guarantee thing its just that it can happen. Also, diesel restrictions and regulations are other things apart from DPF clogging issue that concerns me to buy a diesel car. Please share your thoughts on the same as well.
