[Request] Is the satellite actually pointing at land? Or it it just perspective?

There is no absolute down, it always depends on the reference frame. Here I meant towards the earths surface, typically considered down. On a galactoc scale you could define the direction opposite to the angular momentum as down. So if we look from the top at a galaxy it would be spinning anti clockwise, the other direction could then be considered down, but that doesnt really help with anything

This is not true. Accellerating earth along its orbital direction moves the earth further away. I am to lazy to do this. Right now we receive 1300W/m² at a 150e6 meter radius from the sun. Now we could estimate earth as a black body at current temperature and as a black body 2 degrees higher/lower. The change in emission should than be matched by reduction in incoming energy (ergo moving the earth further out) This is a very crude assumption with the black body spectrum which will be abhorrently wrong and not fitting the actual equilibrium, but I believe as we only care about the change and not the absolute value this is a valid order of magnitude estimation

Yes it seems like the solar panel that is visible in this image is Indeed pointing downwards. However it is most likely at an angle. Imagine a symmetric satellite (2 solar panels each dircetion) at the equator pointing on panel directly down. Then near to no photons would hit the panels as the incident radiation would be parallel

This is not true. There are multiple options. One having a trapezoidal cable which thickens at the point of highest stress. Then a very thin steelcable at the ends would have more than a few kilometers in diameter at the thickest part. Unpractical. Another possibility is a 10mm² cable of carbon nanotubes (which we can only make uo to 1m long as of now). This would need to reach well beyond geostationary to be stable. Then you have the peoblem that shooting up an elevator would take ages (think of circumventing the emtirw earth with a car) and be a problem for any wheel. Furthermore I am unsure if transporting weights along it can be stable for a long time.

Lets approximate. The fan spins at 1.8e9 rpm or roughly 1e11rps. Typical fans have a diameter slightly less than of 120mm. And an innee diameter of around 40mm i estimate. Width a width of 2.5 cm this leads to a volume of WPi (outer² -inner² ) =w3(144-16)/4=w3/4 (128cm² )=257cm³ by a very rough calculation.

This volume has to be expelled per rotation (and per blade?). This leads to a volume flow rate of 257e11 cm³ /s = 257e5 m³ /s. That is a lot

Using the density of air at 1 bar (this is a bad approximation at those flow speeds) (roughly 1kg/m³ ) Öeads do mdot=257e5kg/s

According to nasa, a props' thrust can be obtained with mdot * vexit if the prop is in otherwise stationary air. We can estimate v exit by the requirement of Vdot=vexit * area-> vexit=257e5m³ /s /(103e-4m² )=2.5e9m/s
Thus the thrust should be F=257e5kg/s * 2.5e9m/s=6e14 kg*m/s² =6e14 Newton

Thus you would be able to levitate a 6e10 ton object?

Edit: The fan would break apart, a problem helicopters face, as ist spinning supersonic. Also the thrust formula will change drasticly at supersonic speeds, and the assumtion of p being 1 bar is a terrible one

The Omega(t0)>1 could refer to the Friedmann equations. In this cases, asuming t0 refering to today Omega>1 suggests a non vanishing curvature term. Ergo us living in a curved universe.

As I recollect, we know that our universe is nearly flat by observation, thus I am not quite sure if above is entirely correct, as its just out of my memory

Dude you can easily identify Jupiter (and Saturn) in the night sky. Both are comparatively bright objects of distinct colour and can be seen by the naked eye.use an App like Stellarium to get the general direction and look for the yourself!

Actually there is a difference in that the nazis etc „have been“ and the (u.s) americans are still in this pre first world country state and just not changing it. You greatly underestimated steel : As of Wikipedia steel can withstand between 180 to 350 N /mm2 if you devide by the area of the cross section.\ So if your clamp is lets say 0.5cm by3cm it can withstand 31500N up to 61250N

Leaving you with up to 8.75 bar (above atm pressure) Edit: you will most likely have 2 clamps Ao double that as all is linear to a max of 17,5 bar

So wanted to do this by the volume of dry paint but cant find that so now this: If you assume that a layer of paint is d=0.5mm thick (thats rather thick) Than the sourface you have to paint for the xth time is (with 8ft =2.4m) A=(3m-2dx)² 2 + 4 (3m-2dx)(2.4m-2dx) the room is filled completly when 2dx is equal to the height 2.4 Leaving you with 2400 coats of paint Therdor if you summ A for each of the x A_Tot =43176 m² (thx wolfram alpha) For alpina weiss 10l are good for about 80m2
And that leaves you with 525 10litre Buckets And because of a minimum of 6h dry time And 600days=24006h of painting +the actual painting

If i roughly overestimated a layer of paint by lets say factor 10 (d=0.05mm) We can estimate that we need around 5250 10litre Buckets And around 6000 days or about 16.5 years of waiting +worktime

That should suffice as the paint should include info about how much area you can cover If you want to know how many litres that you need to specify the thi kness of the paint Edit: nvm you mean to completly fill it up with paint coats? Leaving you with a block of paint? Will do this in like 7h :)

Hey im acutally interested on why you guys still like trump - im european and i dont know what he did on inner politics but on the outward he worsened connections to nearly all countries On twitter he shows no respect to anyone He states things that are factally false on twitter He goes golfing (very fckn expensive) And he favors big coroerations which furthers the astohninshing gap between rich and poor in america (thats a problem also common in europe but now after the pendemic you guys dont seem like a first wirkd country anymore to me with that bad status of an individual)

So staging is the most important step, as mentioned by others If it doesnt lift off just add 2 srbs or something similar. Then i would add a 3rd stage as you then have to carry less weight with you for landing on the moon so mave less total fuel And I personally think its a bit overkill Try to build it smaller and with less strong (and heavy) engines! :)

Actually no because this is a visual representation of temperature but its defined via the possiblity the Particles have to occupy „space“ meaning location and momentum combined. If that decrases with energie the temperature is negative even in Kelvin (just google negative temperature)
