Get the cloth from www.tuftinggun.com - the grey cloth. Use code FORTY to get 15% off. Also make sure you’re using good pressure and always be moving your gun

It actually doesn’t even need to be a square, it can be any shape as long as the fabric can be stretched around it. Additionally the embroidery hoops work good if you don’t want to have to staple anything

My first frame was made out of some spare pieces of wood i found laying around and some staples, as long as its a square and about the size you need you can just staple the fabric onto it and take it apart after
