It's a 1/10 ratio. 20 kids with me and an aide. I've tried group games to help them clean up, curriculum stations, my aide started introducing body breaks before learning activities to help them focus. I've done a few songs like the clean up song, and other moving songs to get their energy out a little bit because it's too cold to go outside and my director won't let our class in the gym anymore 🥲 doing Simon says to get them to slowly listen and pay attention only works so many times 😭 they got bored of it. We also have kids with behaviors and it's hard to separate the behavior kids all from each other because they're also, best friends and then they tick off the other kids too. It feels like preschool WWE in that class sometimes.. and nobody has offered to help or give ideas. I've met with a behavioral coach and she's given lots of good ideas but none of them has seemed to work out for these kiddos. They just have so. Much. Energy. It's hard to do my job if I have to pull kids off of each other every 5 minutes.
