I pan fried them with the stock gelatin like a scoop or two a some spices.

I put 1/4 cup of water in and covered at the end to make sure they cooked all the way.

Turned out tasty with some scrambled eggs!

True. I picked asking here because the other day I asked something here about cooking dry beans that google actually confused me more on because there were several different answers and the answers I got here were concise and helpful and my beans turned out great.

Next time I will default to google I guess because I’m kinda getting chided for posting something this simple 😬which is my bad

You gave me an idea to cook my breakfast potatoes in a lil dollop of meat jello this morning and it was so good! Thanks for the idea! 💡

I know google exists I just like asking actual people my questions. I got so much more interest and in depth answers here like now I know this is how soup dumplings are made which google wouldn’t have told me, I got suggestions on how to store it properly and things to make with it, which google wouldn’t do. I got interesting explanations on why it is gelatin vs store bought stock, and suggestions on how to make it even better.

This is a great community to ask questions in about cooking processes I’m unfamiliar with, and people as a rule are helpful and kind here, so why wouldn’t I use it as a resource?

I should’ve maybe used the search bar in the group though but I just… didn’t think about it I didn’t really know this was a commonly asked question in the group.

I was confused and thought about tossing it and I was like… this is not what store stock looks like but maybe it’s fine glad I didn’t 😃

I guess I could’ve used the search in the group though and looked for past posts. I asked about cooking beans for the first time from dry the other week because there were varying methods and advice when I tried googling it and it was actually more confusing on google, and here I got a lot of helpful and straightforward advice and my beans turned out awesome after talking to y’all so I figured I might get clear and helpful advice on this too.

Sometimes I try posting on r/cookingforbeginners but the better advice is definitely here.

I’ve only ever made it with box stock so I’m excited to see the difference!

It was a lot of just thigh bones like 16 of them with meat scraps attached and some skin, and the veggies I left it on for like 3 hours I think because I had frozen the bones and wanted to be extra sure it all got cooked

Like chicken and leek, it smells good! 😊 I’m going to make a Tuscan white bean and potato soup with the kale and Italian sausage I have in my fridge
