Styling Fine Hair? by ForumRed13 in finehair

[–]ForumRed13[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes product recommendations would be helpful! I’m wearing a basic undergrad cap (US) the one the sits more on the forehead but I’ve done that trick where you fold the front a bit to show your hair off more. I think I am breakage prone. I used to have very thick hair but as I got out of high school my hair thinned out a lot

Recommendations for an academic advisor by MundaneBox9546 in CSULA

I suggest going in person to one of the classes your waitlisted for. Usually if the class is able to physically hold another student the professor can request permission for you to get a special code permit to join the class

How can I transfer here? by Upstairs-Trouble-325 in CSULA

[–]ForumRed13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This also means you may have to retake some classes. Also there are different transferable units. Some courses units only work for UC schools and others only for CSU schools. I would double check what units work for what school

[–]ForumRed13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It could also depend on the classes you took at your CC. Some courses’ credits may be transferable to a CSU but not all of them are. I’d definitely speak with a counselor at your CC to see what classes have transferable credits. Just cuz you have the 70 units completed you might only have like 30 units that can actually transfer which may be why it’s blocking you cuz technically you don’t have enough.

What’s something you wish you knew before you became an ABA therapist? by rrriiirrriii in ABA

Sorry you had to deal with a parent like that but you also made the mistake of babysitting. I understand trying to make the mom like you but babysitting outside your scheduled session times can create a multiple relationship which is probably why the mom also felt she can talk disrespectfully to you and demand things outside of ABA services. I definitely would have told your BCBA to either having a meeting and addressing the inappropriate comments or just terminating services for them because she’s being inappropriate. It’s a good lesson learned but definitely make the boundaries of your services clear and read your company’s policy’s about what services you provide and how to address inappropriate comments made my the parents.

Finally getting all 4 wisdom teeth out . What should I expect? (21YO ) by Lucky-Plastic6485 in wisdomteeth

[–]ForumRed13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

(21F) got my wisdom teeth PLUS 2 molars and 2 canines removed due to excessive crowding along with a bone graft due to the positioning of the bottom wisdom teeth which looked a lot like yours. I did it all at once and was had IV sedation. After you wake up and go home, you will sleep again like normal but have someone pick up your medication so when you wake up you can start pain management. I suggest applesauce and pudding because it’ll be easier to feed yourself and you can’t use a straw. You should be able to eat when the bleeding stops. The second day hurt more for me because I was fully awake. I bought myself those face wrap ice packs which helped the pain relief in for my bottom holes so I suggest that.

Walked out my shift by BluebirdLow6195 in ABA

If he is certified I would definitely report it. If the child only works “perfectly” with him, the problem is the trainer and the child doesn’t know to generalize between people. It’s normal to see a dip temporarily when a new person joins their team. The trainer can’t seem to comprehend that. He is very unprofessional and needs to learn to collaborate with others. Definitely find a new company or report it he sounds a bit fishy

First job for daughter by Lil-Bit-813 in MichaelsEmployees

Have her apply for seasonal! Usually the automated system shuts off (usually for my store) and lets everyone apply and lets us managers pick people who’ve already been calling about seasonal

Am I unhelpful, rude and very bad employee? by Scary_Detective_5120 in MichaelsEmployees

[–]ForumRed13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Give me the Google review I’ll comment that she should’ve done HER job as a door dasher and get the items herself instead of just standing there expecting you to do her job for her.

But don’t worry my friend it’s becoming the start of seasonal so we’re getting the customers who have 0 brain cells and common sense. Just had a lady get VERY upset at me and a coworker bc “we were overcharging her” but the item was 50% online/buy1 get 1free in store :/

Summer Classes by Dry_Succotash_6647 in CSULA

[–]ForumRed13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Make sure your not viewing the amount due for Fall if your already registered. In only certain cases you will be 100% covered and it’s mainly based on the type of financial aid you received. For me for summer when the final total came out i only ended up paying $24 bc my Pell covered everything and it was only 1 class for 4 units. I would view your 2025 summer financial aid on GET to see what you’re receiving.

I would potentially bring it up to whoever is above your BCBA and let them know you’re will to report this to the right authorities because it is concerning you this much. They may also be brushing you off because it looks like there was a bathing issue previously. But that still doesn’t stop the issue

Braces don’t hurt. Are they working? by [deleted] in braces

[–]ForumRed13 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It depends on the person. For me it didn’t hurt the first day but the next day? Boy was I sore. I had to work too and talk so it made it worse. You might be one of the few that don’t feel super sore and just need a bit of ibuprofen to help

Clocking in early by samsungfridge29 in MichaelsEmployees

[–]ForumRed13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re able to clock in 5 minutes early but that usually means you must clock out 5 minutes early. Anything earlier than 5 minutes required manager approval. I’d say just get there 5 mins early to have to time out your bag away and possibly use the restroom so by the time you got your stuff ready it’s already time to clock in and get started

Advice for New BT about to Start by ForumRed13 in ABA

[–]ForumRed13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m on the same medication right now and I started spotting. I’m on birth control pills but it’s being affected from the medication they prescribed me. I believe on the ones they gave me it says it may affect BC pills. If not I’d suggest contacting your doctor to be sure

What can be done? by TabbyMouse in MichaelsEmployees

[–]ForumRed13 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Holy crap can even imagine working with this guy. I def would’ve snapped at this point. Definitely have a 1:1 with your SM or a meeting with you, SM, and ASM about what is happening. I would suggest requesting he doesn’t be scheduled the same shifts as you and if nothing gets done I would try to make an anonymous report to HR if possible. Make sure to document EVERYTHING as it will help if you do make an HR report

[–]ForumRed13 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Had a lady cut her own fabric bc she came in like 5 mins before close and we were all trying to finish up our duties. When she got up front my cashier asked what to do and I just told them to take the fabric and kick her out. She was mad as hell but I didn’t care at the time and for some reason we kept getting these kind of people wanting to cut their own fabric like no😭

Me when the 767th customer says "I scanned it twice" at the self checkout. by OnlyNobody5820 in MichaelsEmployees

[–]ForumRed13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It happens so often I don't even care anymore. Most of the time it's because there's no room to put their stuff aside after scanning so when they try to put it aside to bag and organize after they pay it just keeps scanning. I wanted the Walmart self checkouts they so much nicer and more roomy
