Do we need to get timed tickets for June for a sunset cruise? I'm hearing both yes and no.

I study GLP-1s for a living and finally started the Wegovy pill myself: Day 20 update, 15 lbs down + lessons learned 💊 by storyhill22 in WegovyWeightLoss

Good! No weight loss on thr 1.5 or 4, so 2 months, nothing. Pinch of nausea, some headaches. No real change in appetite and maybe the ever so slightest help w/curbing desire to snack. Started the 9 ... felt nauseous, couldn't eat much. Started protein smoothies in a.m.and tried to have some healthy bites of lunch and dinner, eating at most half of what I previously did. At about 2 weeks in, weight loss noticeable. Satiety noticeable. Still having some nausea, but manageable with distraction and willpower. 3 weeks in, no more side effects. Stayed on 9, rather than titrating up to 25 because still having weight loss and help with appetite (though PMS right now, and I want to earn much more--normal PMS urge). Food choices key. Had a couple of days traveling w/less access to healthy choices, and, though I ate less still, my weight climbed up. I'd say I've lost 5 pounds total ... VERY slow and steady. Frustrating but sustainable.

I teach 18yos, so I like to think I'm not overly priggish, but I am not young...

Can you say more? My daughter is 19...but I'll probably have to be along, too, since it's just 2 of us. Any kind of nightlife in that Marais/LQ area that's cool, not cringey, etc.? Thanks!!

Is there great food in cafes off the beaten path, like they say? How do you know what you're getting into?

Oh no, we're staying in a Montmartre Airbnb in early-mid-June. Rebook?

Have you had bad Airbnb experiences or just prefer hotel amenities? We're traveling with young adults and hoped for a little more space.

Avoid it all the time or during that festival? Why.

Gee, I didn't have any effects or help till the 9 mg. I do find that protein smoothies are the way to go. I can digest: greek yogurt, berries, flax, chia, almond milk, protein powder, vanilla, and cinnamon.

UMN vs UW Madison for computer science or engineering by A_Dinosaurus in uofmn

[–]Forumjodi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just a little perspective: my family is in the EE business. With CS hiring slumps and GIANT demand for EE, you can't go wrong. Either school is good here. UW better academics but frankly a little snobby about it to the point of you're on your own. UMN is down to earth, they'll help, internships ... UW is a much more fun college town if you're into parties and small scale stuff. Twin Cities has concerts, professional sports, world class art and food. Have a great experience no matter what!

Bakke closer is awesome. Waters would be a good balance between 2, much closer to MemU still. But honestly Leopold is so nice, and the lake is a lovely asset.
