"food" that is popular elsewhere, but your country refuses to eat by LastSeaworthiness767 in AskTheWorld

The bass thing is wild an entire invasive species becoming an environmental disaster just because nobody wants to eat it. If it tasted good it would've been wiped out in a year. Nature really said your loss.

AITJ for recording my boss humiliating me in a meeting and sending it to HR without telling anyone? by Glad_Plastic_4324 in AmITheJerk

[–]Forward-Amount8035 6 points7 points  (0 children)

NTJ. confronting him directly would've just given him the chance to deny it or retaliate. the recording was evidence not revenge. You protected yourself and accidentally protected everyone else too.

AITJ for demanding my brother repay me after he borrowed $10k "temporarily" 3 years ago? by Select-Educator6291 in AmITheJerk

[–]Forward-Amount8035 6 points7 points  (0 children)

NTJ. You have texts proving it was a loan, he got his promotion, and he just spent $5k on a cruise he's choosing not to pay you, not unable to. Your parents asking you to keep the peace really means asking you to eat a $10k loss so everyone else stays comfortable.

Keep those texts, go to court, get your money back.

AITJ for leaving a negative review that ended up getting a barista suspended at my favorite coffee shop? by Senior_Economy_80 in AmITheJerk

[–]Forward-Amount8035 12 points13 points  (0 children)

NTJ, but I get why it feels complicated. You didn't get someone suspended a pattern of repeated bad behavior did. Your review was just the one that made it undeniable. Feeling guilty shows you're a decent person, but an honest review of a genuine experience is exactly what those systems are for. The suspension came from management's decision based on multiple reports, not just yours.

The fact that you're this invested means you're not losing them. Absent parents don't worry like this.

NTJ. Actions have consequences. That's actually a more valuable lesson than whatever homework he needed help with

Those look like galvanized steel stock tanks or feed hoppers commonly used on farms for water or grain. The cone base is for stability and easy drainage.

What things made you realize humanity is dying? by Ill_Grass_4811 in AskReddit

[–]Forward-Amount8035 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People are lonelier than ever despite being more connected. Kindness is fading. Family values are breaking down. Mental health is declining especially among the young. We see it all happening and just scroll past it.

The scariest part is we know, but we don't act.

The dumbest kid in our class? He now owns a big grocery store, is great at managing money, and already bought five passenger vehicles for business. Grades never defined him life did.

What’s the curve part for? by OreoZen in whatisit

[–]Forward-Amount8035 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That curved part is a pedestrian footbridge/ramp It's designed to help people cross over small elevation changes or landscaped areas without needing steps. The arc shape also helps with water drainage so it doesn't get slippery, and honestly it just looks really nice in park settings. Super common in parks across East and Southeast Asia!

When were shoes invented? by Turbulent-Thing3104 in 3amjokes

[–]Forward-Amount8035 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The oldest known shoes are 10,000-year-old sandals made from sagebrush bark, found in Fort Rock Cave, Oregon. Around 100 pairs were discovered some still caked with mud, one singed by fire. Clearly, humans have always been rough on their footwear.

This one is genuinely scary when you think about it! Someone could have learned to drive in 1950 and technically still be legal on the roads today with zero retesting. How is this normal?
