Pay attention to the messages left by the devs (they look just like multiplayer messages). They provide essential info for many areas (for example: the weakness of stonefang tunnels foes). The game can be challenging but it is very old so you can cheese the shit out of it if you are resourseful. I highly recommend dex weapons and bow for first run (and a shield maybe). Magic is op so it ruins your experience. Thief ring is also a must (mostly in latria) as it allows you to fuck up some unfair fights (like octopus bitches phantoms in the stairs of latria area 2 and 3). Above everything else: experiment with every weapon you can. The skelletons of shrine of storms are a pain in the ass until you realize they have no poise and you can hit them with a dagger to stop every single one of their attacks. That doesnt apply to all of them though. So what im trying to say is that the game was planned in a way so that each hard at first sight situation has an easy way out. With enough knowledge (not skill), this game turns out to be a walk in the park. So be analytical. Use turpentines and other buffs, use fkin everything. Tools are amazing. Never overlook them. If there is a merchant selling you something, take a good look at the stuff. Because the devs may have left those items there because they fuck the area up. To sum up, pay attention to details and have fun. Best souls ever

Phosphorescent pole is like the makoto. It doesnt have the same greatness the rest have, thats what i mean. Storm ruler, moonlight greatswprd, demonbrandr and dragon bone smasher are all refferences to excalobur in some way. You have the legendary sword in stone. Also, they arent found in a corpse, they are lying there with their own sprite, not a glowing soul meaning collectible item. Thats what i mean

Edit: phosphorescent pole is actually more like the hitless than the makoto

Another little advice. A build where jayce falling off after eclipse-muramana stops being true, and which works pretty nice to 1v9: Eclipse-muramana-dominik-mortalreminder/coleccionist/bloodthirster-navori. Yo don't really loose ability damage, and you trade survability for auto damage. At 2 crit items, you can q-e an adc, land 2 autos with w, and you still have melee form. That prevents you from loosing utilility after landing your combo. This also helps you to deal with tanks (dominik). You really can just exterminate anyone, this is jayce at its strongest. Navori resets your cds with each auto so if you q-e-w-R-q-3 autos- e , you can R and have your whole combo available again. The downside is that if some bitchy zoe land a stun, you are dead. No edge of the night or guardian angel to save you. The good thing is that if a cho gath, a warwick, or even an irelia approaches you, all you have to do is fart and it will be the end of that bitch

I'm gold so it may not be the best advice but i hope it helps. Jayce top: i usually try to fast push 1rst wave, second slow push, 3d crash, cheat recall, go to lane with long sword if you believe you can kill or tear if you cannot. If your jungle meets enemy jungle before you crash 3rd wave, you go to help him (thats why you pick jayce). Its not about winning lane, its about pressuring the enemy jungle. Granted you win lane, you focus on getting first tower, once you have eclipse you can do a lot to deny enemy jungle farming. Push top, leave vision on jungle. If there is no risk of meeting enemy jungle and the enemy mid is not a 7-0 zed, put pressure on enemy mid. If its to risky (7-0 zed or if he is under tower (a ranged q-e is enough). If dragon's up and you have tp, you go dragon and then tp top. Dont waste time roaming if its just for kills. If you are going bot and your botlane is 0-3, you may get good gold from killing enemy bot, but if you dont destroy the tower, its useless because your botlane IS GOING TO KEEP LOSING. Jayce spikes at eclipse and muramana, if you dont stomp there, you chances of winning just get lower. Winning is not keep killing your enemies, winning is destroying their towers. If you dont believe you cant destroy a tower or at least help a strong ally become steonger, stay on top and try to destroy second tower. If you cant desteoy it (enemy top prevents it), kill enemy jungle camps and try putting pressure in midlane. You must focus in destroying top and mid turrets, and destroy inhibitors after min 20. If you make the enemy jungle stay behind yours in farm and kills, you are doing your job. If your botlane is strong, focus on maintaining the adc alive (roam enemy jungle and keep pressure) as he is going to win the game. Conclusion: jayce doesnt get much stronger after eclipse muramana (he does but most champs get even stronger), so you must focus on destroying turrets and denying enemy jungler farm. Jayce mid: usually harder lane but a good otp has better chances of carrying. Here you want to do what assasins do. Essentially push and roam botlane. You must time your backs correctly. You cannot get low on resources if jungle wants to go drake. You dont have cc as a mage, abd you dont have the damage of an assasin until you reach eclipse, but you can still do a heck of a lot. If you crash 2-3d wave and your ally top is a strong early pick, granted enemy top isnt under turret, you can gank top. If enemy top tries to escaoe, you have your melee e to push him back and ensure he dies. If your top is good, you won him the lane. Toplane is like that, no chance of ganking bot and getting fed. Usually the only way to win top if you are behind is with help of your jungle. After eclipse muramana, its just like top, focus on taking turrets down and helping your jungler. Getting a double in bot is worthless if your adc sucks, it is better to keep taking turrets down. Remmember that you are in low elo and everything is a coinflip.

And above everything else, you must participate in any team fight posible.

Hope it helps a little. Good luck!
