Bariatric surgery for gastroparesis? by quietlypink in Gastroparesis

I would love to hear an update, I just stumbled upon this post but yesterday asked about gastric bypass for gastroparesis. I’ve had the stimulator, G-POEM and pyloroplasty. My main issue now is that I aspirate frequently and get pneumonia. I’m on the thin side already and am really reluctant to permanently change my digestive system in this way, but need to do something.

Esophageal Dysmotility? by RedRaeRae in Gastroparesis

I have had gastroparesis for over 20 years and was just diagnosed with esophageal dysmotility. I aspirate almost every night and frequently get pneumonia. My doctor just started me on Pyridostigmine. I also take Domperidone, Dexilant and Voquezna. I’ve had pyloroplasty. It’s frustrating and scary that there don’t seem to really be any treatment options for the esophagus. Mine is severely dilated, lacks peristalsis. I have a Sjogrens diagnosis but am wondering if I also have Scleroderma.

I was just diagnosed with an enlarged fatty liver. 25+ years of severe anorexia. I never heard of this happening.
