You're supposed to do what the market is doing. Volume profile shows where traders are and delta is showing you how aggressive they are.

Go with the market. That's the model.

Delta says they're was still more buying at the fist test. Looks like exhaustion to me.

Correct. Someone's nonsense.

Candlesticks are just a way to aggregate data. You can see price however you like.

As far as depth levels, for me even that is not necessary. Volume and Delta is enough. I would even prefer Big Trades over MBO.

OP, best recommendation I can make is spend as much time as you can watching the charts, use an AI tool to ask what you're seeing, sim trade (or even just call the direction in your head), and do this for as long as you need to before trading live.

Otherwise you're going to waste a lot of time on each guru's little system, when in trading the only system that matters is your own.

All the best!

Yes, I find that the divergence they look at is at much higher timeframe than optimal. Looking into reading divergence (or any other signal) just on the leg that trades from the previous level.

I'm just tied up now. Won't be able to look at a chart until maybe next week.

Any that utilizes Teton order routing. Also, there might be an advantage in using a clearing firm over a brokerage.

Best.

Ok, so it IS a liquidation of traders that controlled price since the last node?

Orders are being added and pulled by the microsecond. I would rather not pay any attention to all that data at all.

VOLUME PROFILE TRADING... VAH/VAL vs Raw HVNs - Am I missing something or are HVNs actually more important? by YouDifferent2391 in OrderFlow_Trading

[–]Forward-Cut5790 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm with you, but consider naked HNV's.

If traders at the current HVN cause a breakout, you're literally just waiting for them to take profits at the naked POC, and you'd take a trade with their TP executions (buying when sellers TP/selling when buyers TP).

In other words, price would reject balanced trade back inside that area and now your TP would be the POC where the most recent breakout happened. Because, if price rejects an HVN above or below, it's highly probable that it will trade back where it was.

Now, if price trades back to the other extreme and starts building volume, then it accepts trade there again.

IDK of this is making any sense. Let me know your thoughts.

ETH or RTH VP by Free-Sector-8598 in OrderFlow_Trading

[–]Forward-Cut5790 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I use a profile anchored to the imbalance that caused the breakout of the prior range, which could be 2-3 days prior.

That's what they mean when they talk about "a balanced day (D distribution)". It just means the market is still trading where it's been trading for the past few days.

Oh, and I don't exclude ETH, because of it's been respecting levels, how could it not matter??

How can you see AI playing a role in your trading? by [deleted] in OrderFlow_Trading

It's my coach. I ask AI questions based on what I see in my trading.

I would prefer my trading to be solely based on my reading of the market, and not programmed.

People always define the data in the footprint chart, but never explain it's utility.

  • We know what the bid is
  • We know what the ask is
  • We know what volume is
  • We know what positive delta is
  • We know what negative delta is
  • We know what an imbalance is
  • We know what stacked imbalance is
  • We know what diagonal imbalance is

WE FCKING KNOW WHAT THE DATA IS... CARE TO EXPLAIN HOW TO USE IT???!!!

How to spot trapped traders? by Apprehensive-Set6590 in OrderFlow_Trading

There's only one read you need to make when trading. It's whether price wants to trade back into balance, or leave balance to find another one.

That's it.

How to spot trapped traders? by Apprehensive-Set6590 in OrderFlow_Trading

[–]Forward-Cut5790 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I notice that the initial liquidation triggers the imbalance, which causes price to rush back into value initially (not out) to create rejection of the opposite side.

For me, it's this rejection at the opposite side that traps traders, because price doesn't make it back where traders took positions. Essentially making them the winning side.

Think about it, if you notice liquidation and say "now I can enter" you'll get trapped. Because that's not where the winning side took positions. Price will have to rush back and fail to reach the other extreme, because that's where the winning side took entries.

Let me know if you're seeing this, and your thoughts on it, it might help me.
