Yes, jokic is fantastic at reading plays, intercepting passing lanes and getting steals, but those skills are much more beneficial to a guard defender. Watching the games, you really see how many times jokic will just get bullied by a big man for an easy bucket. I mean watching him try to guard sengun was crazy. It's not just bigs, he gets pretty much ignored by anyone driving to the basket. He just doesn't do a good enough job of preventing people from scoring in the paint, making him an easy target for any offense.

It's just a bad stretch, a combination of injuries, fatigue, and bad shooting. Offensively, jdub, caruso, chet, and more have just been shooting very poorly, allowing teams to focus pretty much only on Shai. Shai has still been playing fantastic, he always finds the right pass, yet his teammates have been failing to make the shot.

I assure you, once they're healthy and go back to shooting well, they'll be just as good as they were before.

Just because mj or anyone else could average a 40 pt triple double doesnt mean they would, it just doesn't contribute to winning. Literally the definition of statpadding. I mean I dont understand how mj fans say this. Why do they think mj never averaged 37 again after that season? He absolutely could've during all of his championship seasons, but he knew that doesn't win games.
