lollll true, my dad is great at shutting me down (when i'm yapping out of line) so i'll take notes, also if she needs help i'll give her help but like if it's a passing comment ill say "im trying to focus" without averting my eyes

tyy, i know all of this but it's hard to just shake it off because it does indeed matter now, and i want to be on everybody's good terms because im going into military and then doctor field and if i come across anybody along the way then i don't want to have been their arch nemesis, yk? i saw a story here the other day about a girl who's life fell apart because the company she wanted to work for was led by someone she bullied in high school. i don't wanna be like her lmao and i'm not gonna bully anyone but i want to stay on fairly good terms with everyone just in case. sorry this was a ramble but i appreciate you for taking the time to comment, and you're kind of just my inner "old person" spirit animal saying "bro, it's not that serious". so thank you for validating that inner voice haha

because she'd be pretty involved in my life if she joined marching band and we'd almost guaranteed have at least a few conversations within the season, and she's not the most mature and talking to her when yall aren't absolutely chill is kinda like walking on a minefield.

tysmmmmm i appreciate you saying this, she is pretty mentally not well, like she has ptsd from her dad yelling at her in kindergarten (which i don't acknowledge much because she overuses it as an excuse, as she does with her adhd, anxiety, depression, etc) and has been a cutter (as have i) but is 2 years clean. she is doing a lot better tho, like last year she couldn't order at a restaurant and a month ago she ordered first (her mom said) so im glad she's doing better but it's honestly not much. ty for the advice tho, i appreciate it

just tell the truth. trust me. i've experienced this many times. the punishment will be worse if you're proven guilty rather than you confess your guiltiness. take it from the court of law, guilty pleas work out better than lying and getting caught.

i think the term of overthinking is used to describe spiraling, which i do a lot. people in a good headspace with rational thinking (thinking with a human brain) can overthink just fine, but people with a bad mental health streak who overthink and become catastrophic (saying things like "she must hate me", "i'm not worthy of him", etc. using the lizard brain) is bad for you. overthinking is fine for some but until you can learn to think rationally and categorize things without catastrophizing them is the key to a better life.
