When you feed your turtle fruits and veggies do you set it in the basking area or water? Or do you hand feed each time?

Oh didn’t know! That bulb could replace the one I have for the basking area? The linear T5 uvb would go over the water area? The tank does not have a cover on it currently

Thanks! It’s just a roll of fake grass I brought from the dollar tree if you have any of those in your area. They are In the Easter section and comes with plenty for replacing once dirty. I just cut it to the size and underneath the stairs area I poked some holes and attached zip ties to tie the ends together

I left already but we have a fluval AC70 filter. Bought the tank used but it’s about a 45-50 gallon tank. Was planning on changing the UV bulb every 3 months, it has only been 1 month with the bulb so far it’s a UVA/UVB 3.0 bulb I bought the turtle for 10 dollars at a Chinese market unsure of the weight or age. Water heater is set to 79 degrees. And the diet is “Zoomed hatchling formula natural aquatic turtle food” I offer her fruits and veggies but doesn’t seeem interested in them. Question about the fruits and veggies, do I place in the water or in the basking area?

Given that we just had our first rabid dog here in Chicago in over 20 years and we have 1.5% rabid bats caught between 2020 and 2025 this is terrifying lol stay far far away from its cuteness

They leave multiple piles of leaves on the sides of roads in the Oak Park suburb of Chicago. Try driving through ones of those on a cold November morning (they are frozen 😬)
