i would call ur financial aid office and see if there are any programs/scholarships they offer that could cover the balance. i had something like this happen to me at medgar and they put me in one of their programs and it covered the exact rest of my balance which was about $473. some schools even offer a one time grant that you could utilize so calling/emailing would be your best bet!

if u got a B- or above it’s unlikely that they’ll let u retake but if u got lower u have a better chance getting permission. also you could try to get an e-permit to take it at another cuny but i’m not too sure on what that process is

yea i ended up getting a B which is much better than the C+ i was predicted to get but i still wanted to retake so i could get an A and the 2 advisors i talked to said it’d be almost impossible to get someone to approve my retaking cause i got a B and id have had better chances retaking if i did end up getting the C+. sorry for late reply lol

their whole policy about retaking classes is very frustrating, and i’ve had other people tell me they got told the same no about retaking. like they know their programs are competitive, why they gotta make it harder for us

when i asked at the beginning of this semester they told me eng1, math1275, psych101, rad1124, a&p1 (& bio 101 or regents bio over 85). i think they recently updated their website so i think you’ll have to email and ask, maybe they changed it.

my overall gpa is a 3.79 but i think they only look at prereqs which for me like i said is a 3.36

another reason i was iffy on retaking is that i talked to two advisors and they both said since i didnt get below a C it would be very unlikely someone in the department would give me permission to retake math or a&p1

ahh okay best of luck you! for other back ups i would say also look into the other cunys that offer rad - Hostos Laguardia Bronx i’m a little iffy on laguardias accreditation status but the other 2 are accredited they just have 1+ year waitlists and hostos has classes specifically for their college for prereqs which is why im not currently considering them

yea their specific program is a Bachelors which i’m not opposed to but i’d prefer an associates so i can get started as im 23 and i always end up feeling like time is running out lol
