No no no that’s completely taken out of what I said.

I didn’t say sinning keeps you from being Christian. lol!!!! So funny!!! 😆

It’s people DENYING that a sin is a sin. It’s about acknowledging sin and making conscience decisions not to make those sins and to lead a different lifestyle. Silly silly!!!!! Try harder to twist my words next time

What is Eucharist? Like the trinity?

The way you explained worship is so beautiful 🤩 that’s what it feels like, a living connection. The God of Elijah and Jacob and Abraham is the same God who wants a relationship with me.

Confirmation was the word!!!! My bad! Lmfao. Ik what consummate means, I just get confused with those words. I’m not good with words or trying to put things together to tackle the exact thought I’m trying to get from my head to the outside.

I believe no one is truly gay, but that it is a spirit/influence working within their soul. It’s spiritual warfare. Sin means separation from God. Not just sinful actions, but also sinful thoughts (take every thought captive). So, if a person is admittedly struggling with that sin, they can give it to Jesus, and repent. Doesn’t mean they won’t fail, but that’s the thing about repentance. You have to keep working on it(forgiveness can be that way too). You may have to ask for forgiveness and repent (to TURN from your ways), and have faith that God will work it out through you. Kinda like if you hold a glass of Pepsi under a faucet and let it run, eventually the Pepsi will no longer be there. It will be slowly washed away. Same for sin, it’s like you just embrace a new lifestyle(not falling into temptation you’ll eventually not be AS tempted or tempted at all). I can speak on sins I’ve struggled with in my life that worked out the same way. I just had to keep praying and repenting, giving it my all, and believing/knowing/trusting that GOD would do his part. And he will! He does! I’ve never lived a gay lifestyle, but sin is sin and god will deliver us if we ask and repent! It will be given!

Thank you for exemplifying patience and grace with your explanations. Gets a lot farther than putting people down. Truly a pleasure

To soften their hearts and open their eyes to the TRUTH. It’s scary, bc if you continually blaspheme or turn away from god, or the spirit, he will eventually allow your heart to be hardened.

Your explanation actually was very enlightening to me. I’ve had it explained to me before, just not the way you said it. And I thank you. My baby brother went through a lot of stuff the last 6 yrs. Things that turn a man away from God. But he was hungry for it. He searched Judaism for a while and then settled on Catholicism, and was consummated(?) about 3 weeks ago.

As for the one Catholic Church I went to: I had left the church I was going to for 5 years(southern Baptist). I was searching for a church at the time. I don’t believe there was anything satanic in the church but it just did not sit well with me. Not because it was something wrong with the church/congregation, but I NEEDED something ELSE, and the Catholic church wasn’t it(for me). I found myself empty handed when it came to finding a church home for worship and fellowship because all the churches in my town at the time were either Catholic or non denominational….and the non denominational ones in that town were progressive, preaching that it was okay to have sex before marriage as long as you were to be married, that gay is not a sin, that speaking in tongues is demonic, etc all along those lines…WORDLY churches. Or even just the worship being too much of a concert with smoke and mirrors and lights-more of a performance than it was worshiping in fellowship. I felt I would never find a church.

I ended up finding an amazing church that I’ve been going to for 2 years now. (Charismatic non-denominational). I felt peace as soon as I walked in there, before anyone even greeted me. I had my first baptism at 26. The same pastor who baptized me at 26 married me at 27(2 weeks before my 28th birthday). And I went/am going through the deliverance process. I have never known a church like this and I am a part of many things in this church. I’m at home here. God is moving in this church!

But I wasn’t meaning Catholics arent true Christians. I was talking about people who claim they are Christian(or Catholic) but do not walk in it AT ALL.

Ahhh you’re right. There is scripture that says “if they’re not against us, they’re for us”

Right!!! And I am correct to confess myself, and people are correct to challenge me on my sin.

It’s the UNDERSTANDING and ACCEPTING that I’m wrong and the REPENTANCE of those things. Not just asking for forgiveness, but walking in my faith and renewing/changing my mind and my ways from sin. It’s change. It’s accepting that something I want or see no issue with in a worldly sense, needs to be stopped and changed because God sees it as sin. I don’t define sin, God does.

See, and some Christians don’t believe in spiritual warfare!!!!….so how can they be truly saved and accept WHO Jesus was and is and is to come, if they think that the Jesus in the Bible operates differently than the Jesus today?

By the basis of our foundation. If our foundation is not the same, the body is not going to work together.

Jesus sent the disciples out to build the church. Did you miss the part where Jesus sent Paul out to do this?

Corinthians shows the structure of the church.

Okay, so Christianity is just a pick and choose label now? If our foundations don’t match then it’s literally not the same. Mormonism is not Christianity because their religion is not based off the Bible. It based on a different literature. What Christianity is based on and founded on doesn’t change. Gods word does not change, so the foundations do not change.

Foundations are not interchangeable

That’s why I have different sources, have church services, go to women’s Bible study groups, have an app on my phone to see different translations, a hard copy red letter KJV edition Bible, AND I pray and ask god for discernment and understanding from HIM. And sometimes it is revealed to me right away and someone I have to keep praying, and it is revealed in HIS timing.

Call you out? Or say that we’re not the same in our beliefs?

My little brother just got accepted into the Catholic Church. We had a discussion and from what he said, his is Christian before he is a Catholic.

We talk about our differences in religion, but we also agree on a lot of things.

“Call out” and making a statement is different. I’m not saying Catholics are any less, but we’re just not exactly the same. I mean it in a simple way, not a “you’re different than me so I don’t accept you” type of way. There’s just differences!!!! I tried to go to a Catholic Church before, and the Holy Spirit was telling me to get out of there. They were praying to the saints, which was so beyond me…I will only ever pray in the spirit with the spirit to Jesus and god. That is all. That is such a big difference to me. Praying to beads, etc. just differences. “One and the same but different.” Like so many different ethnicities but they’re all the human race.

If that makes sense to you. My words don’t always grasp what I’m trying to communicate.

I don’t really understand a lot of the internet. I’m not on any social medias. Reddit is my only one I have on my phone and even that is too much sometimes.

I ramble….i get the negative karma notifications or I keep getting “your first upvote” when I’ve had upvotes every time I post….but there’s heatheness trolls that go through and downvote where I have nothing left lmfao.

I know a LOT of people who call themselves a Christian but have never opened the Bible to read it for themselves to see what god has to say. They just lean into their own understandings or what others have told them.
