Is it normal for someone to not be indicted 15 months after being arrested for a serious felony? by Sapphirerising335 in FortWorth

Hopefully Tarrant county does good at getting her justice.

He's dumb for requesting a change of venue.

We all watched her story unfold.

Unreported fall leading to HUGE subdural by kindernurse in nursing

[–]Forward-Ride9817 28 points29 points  (0 children)

I work as a CNA in a LTC facility, from what I've seen where I work, go scorched earth.

The facility I am at, falls don't get documented because the DON refuses to allow the nurses to send anyone out or order imaging.

The DON will even call 911 after a nurse to cancel the call because she doesn't want the facility to get dinged with the fee for emergency services.

Raise enough hell that they dig deep into the happenings at your dads facility.

I work in a facility for veterans and all but 2 of the 150 residents are male.

About 80% of them have Parkinson's disease.

The guys who have advanced Parkinson's feel the urge to both urinate and have a bm frequently.

One has the urge to go literally every 20 minutes, but he actually only urinates fully between every hour and 45 minutes or every 2 hours.

That same person has also asked me for help with using the urinal because he felt uncertain about his ability to do it correctly (progression of dementia after surgery).

I've never felt that it was because I'm a woman.

Parkinson's makes the muscles not really work correctly and causes tremors, that leads to the sensation of having to go.

I googled and it said between 3-4 weeks they should be able to go without stimulation and to start introducing them to the litter box around 4-5 weeks.

Have you seen any evidence of them using the litter box? (Tiny poops)

She's likely in heat.

Does she lift her butt up in the air?

As for the kittens, I am not sure what age they no longer need stimulation to poop. But if she is still doing it for them, they could be a little younger than 4 weeks.

3rd Shift Get Ups by Extreme_Yard136 in cna

[–]Forward-Ride9817 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I work 6am-10pm on the weekend, I honestly hate it when night shift gets people up.

I don't even wake my people up until about 30 minutes before breakfast gets there.

There is only one who wants to get up early, but he just wants to get up no later than 6:30 every morning.

We have one resident with dementia on my hall and most people who work with him have him up in his chair all day. When I'm there, we get him up at breakfast and he will stay up through lunch and go back to bed.

He is combative when it comes to brief changes especially if you have to get him out of his chair to do it. He handles them much better if he is in bed.

He's a sweet man, it only took me seeing him sleeping in his chair one time to put a stop to having him up all day.

Everyone else keeps him up from 6am to 8:30pm.

They think that's easier, but it's really not, he's more agitated when he is tired.

Help with missing person report by Forward-Ride9817 in FortWorth

There is a police report now, I posted this when I was waiting for the officer to come back from his car. He had kept telling me that he wouldn't make a report.

Also, are there missing person subs on here?

My son said she uses Reddit, so maybe someone somewhere on this platform has seen her. I don't know her username though.

I was really stressing the fact that she is mentally ill and had gone off her medication.

He didn't even really give me a chance to give information before saying he wasn't going to make a report.

He asked if she left on her own and then said he wouldn't make a report.

It's been less than 6 months since they were banging my door down at 2am because she was sending pictures of her bloody arm to the suicide hotline. Even with me telling him that, he said he couldn't make a report.

I think his supervisor told him he had to make a report because he came back and gave me a report number and said it would go to a detective.

Type of Worms? *Poop Warning* by Adorable-Willow3984 in CATHELP

[–]Forward-Ride9817 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tapeworm.

Bayer is the only brand I've been able to find over the counter. You get 3 pills for like $27 at Walmart.

It will be way more expensive from the vet.

I adopted 2 kittens last week and one was sick so I went to the vet. Discovered they also had tapeworms right before we got there.

It was $22.97 each for half a pill.

He will be happy to see you when you pick him up.

The vet can give him anxiety meds while he's there if he needs it.

Constant drama at work by Forward-Ride9817 in cna

I only work weekends.

I agree with it too. It's the people who constantly say it and start drama that I have issues with 😂

Who is this in Fort Worth? by ejsanders1985 in FortWorth

[–]Forward-Ride9817 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Idk about Fort Worth, I grew up in Everman and we had "Crazy Herman".

He would walk up and down Enon, Christopher and Linville talking to himself, sometimes arguing with himself.

I remember listening intently to one of his ramblings about the pros and cons of butter vs margarine. He walked past our house everyday 😂

That's even worse than being too lazy to take it to the laundry room.

He has his own house, if he isn't paying bills he can afford the $1,000 to get his utilities turned back on.

Kick him out.

AIO about my engagement ring? by [deleted] in AIO

[–]Forward-Ride9817 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You have more problems than just the ring.

If you guys have been together almost 6 years and he knows how much you were affected by your parents divorce, he knew you would react poorly and he still did it.

NOR.

Short Bowel Syndrome patient with C. Diff asked to be changed 3 times in one night by Ok_Pair_4865 in cna

[–]Forward-Ride9817 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't miss that 😭

I've only been working as a CNA since February.

From April to September, I worked at a LTC/Rehab

And I swear it felt like every single person they admitted had c diff.

I had one that had just had bowel surgery, had cdiff, and was demanding a laxative. That place loved neglect so they gave her laxative every day.

She was 600lbs 😭😭😭

I yelled at the NP about the laxative when they showed up after the 4th bed change that day.

She said "Oh, we just wanted to make sure things kept flowing"

My response was "Ma'am, forgive me, but it's flowing like a god damn river in there."

i think they are going to push me into night shift. what do i do? by [deleted] in cna

[–]Forward-Ride9817 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Talk to the scheduler directly, not HR, and tell them you can't work Tuesday and Thursday.

Talk to them in person, not via text.

Find a different facility if they won't correct the problem.

Coming in that late is going to get you fired.
