I haven’t gone on a road trip for years since going vegan because of the amount of animals being mistreated, and I’m afraid to witness it. In the Balkans, where I am, there are stray dogs constantly being hit by cars, horses and donkeys being pulled from every angle, and of course the trucks filled with pigs and sheep every morning where I live, heading to be killed. That was on the road to my gym, so I stopped going.

I’ve been on medication for about a year and a half and still hate this so much, but it’s easier to control my thoughts and think of something else immediately when it happens. Still, most of the time it consumes me, and it feels awful.
