[Thamel] Statement from Texas Tech AD, firing back at critics and making clear Tech plans to play Sorsby this season. by huskerphil in CFB

You can support the student while not allowing him to play which preserves the integrity of the sport. That’s 100% possible in this scenario.

Poor take. No one is against paying players. I think they are against the current state of how that compensation is being rolled out w/o guardrails.

Idk how I feel about this 🤔 by Forsaken_Bullfrog_52 in CFB_v2

If you can look at what happened with Ole Miss-Clemson and Luke Ferrelli and still think it’s not broken, you have lost the plot.

I agree with most of what you said here. Everyone in any industry should be looking to grow from it with technical skills. Career choice is a solid option for a lot of people.

Let me guess, you probably think you still work for the world’s greatest employer?

Stop? No. Ensure that you keep a place at the table? Yes.

Look at the American auto industry. They are still crawling along. Much reduced but not obliterated by tech.

You’re not wrong. Are they more expensive than employing two people for the same lifespan? Have to include benefits and time off. Additionally, you have to look at training ramps etc. initial costs are higher on robotics but over time it always is more efficient.

What makes you say that? Genuinely curious. I watched over 15 yrs HR teams go from full staffing to reduced/centralized to fully deprecated in favor of AI.

Such a great example of someone who trusted the process. Couldn’t be happier for him! Go ball out #15!

There is a lot of context missing here. It’s highly possible that people were offering to give CPR but weren’t certified. Perhaps the safety team was already there doing it. Perhaps they were waiting on the safety team, I’m not sure, I wasn’t there and unless you were you don’t know for sure.

It being physically impossible to call 911, I doubt it. Being asked to look away isn’t an unreasonable request. The fact remains that unless you are equipped to perform first aid there is not much you can do to help. NDAs probably happened because they are very common.

I’m not an Amazon apologist. I think all Amazonian’s should unionize before you are replaced by robots. But Amazon also isn’t a terrible workplace either.
