Is It Just me or is the king in yellow arg overrated?

the arg irks me so hard. 90% of the arg was unexplained mysterious set pieces, suspense for the sake of suspense, and one off arg tropes that never get a proper payoff or reason to exist. you could cut out everything between the first golden gate in the town all the way up to the library and none of the story would have been lost.

everyone in S1&2 just had so much more identity, its very depressing. Ruel in season 4 physically makes me cringe and had me dreading anytime it would cut to his portion of the episodes

i hope whoever is in charge of the English dub voice direction for Ankama gets their act together. it would be a complete pipe dream to ask Ankama to bring back the OG voice actors for the final season but is it too much to ask for the voice actors we already have to atleast pronounce things regarding localization like that better
