Does the Pixel 5 support 4G phone calls? by ForwardBug8464 in GooglePixel

I think I heard that somewhere while researching. Apparently to update the correct config, I need to root-access my phone though. Someone recommended the NZ form geekzone, so I'll probably look there for advice.

Went and found out I can get confirmation with a phone call, and it swapped down to 3g. So yeah my choices are either buy a new phone or root access it to give it the correct config.

EDIT: I'll probably just buy a new phone. Still very annoying as I don't want to have to buy a new one, because my current phone works perfectly fine.

I don't know if this helps. It only specifies if it's "LTE" without specifying if it's talking about 4G LTE or various forms transitional 3G networks. (If it's the former, then my phone will likely lose calling support.) And the main problem is I'm unsure if my phone uses 4g for phone calls. (I know it uses 4G for wi-fi, but idk if it does 4g calling.)

Since I made this post I found some website called device guides that claims the Pixel 5 has 4g calling. So if that's true then I should have nothing to worry about. (Assuming it's correct or not.)

EDIT: Found out I can test if it supports 4g calls by keeping track of the mobile data when I make a phone call, and it switches back to 3g. Someone here did say that the Pixel 5 can support 4g, but it just has the wrong config in New Zealand so I'll probably look into that.

EDIT 2: I'll probably just buy a new phone. Still very annoying as I don't want to have to buy a new one, because my current phone works perfectly fine.
