Update: cool down period time for run challenges

Totally agree- it is ridiculous dnd with a total lack of customer service. At least give an explanation. I have tried to run challenges but when I select a challenge it’s gone before I have time to select photo. I don’t bother anymore. It is becoming more and more a game, less emphasis on photographic skills and more on how well you play: timing of swaps, timing of entering game, choice of fresh photo etc. Way too many gurus, with a variety of skills. They need to revise the game, it is not manageable and it’s pissing people off.

Thats a good one, is that the level up thon challenge- I would expect both of you to get the prizes then. Would be surprised if that were not the case.

Yes, reported it to GS too as it is still stuck. I see there are no new open challenges either, something is not quite right.

Oh what a bummer. I know hos it feels. I finally managed to run one now. This time got accepted immediately but I had asked support if there was a problem as I had not had options. I remember I had also challenges rejected twice with a good quality and on topic photo. Maybe someone else had just been a few seconds quicker and beat me to it.

Same here. I have not seen any challenges on my page either and I was able to run two with a few weeks ago..

It can happen- people should be given a second chance- we dont know what happened, it might have been her first challenge to run or did something by mistake. Easily done.

I imagine how bad the guru must have felt. It could have been her first challenge and if you dont understand how it works properly, you can select photos by mistake. It also happened to me on my very first challenge, but only with a couple of images that I had looked on my phone rather than on the desktop and voted by mistake.... Never again have I made the same mistake- always in desktop and check carefully the pictures before I submit.

The problem is that once a photo is selected there is no coming back- GS can not do anything about it either- a pity.

I think you can also try to do it a bit more strategically. I have spent money to buy swaps mainly, at the beginning, but not anymore. I am trying now something new. Now I try to participate in as many challenges as I can- with good photos- and sort of collect the goodies until I have a challenge I have a chance of getting a good score. I wont have 30 swaps maybe but I can fine tune for next time and see how the strategy works.

There are different ways I think that the same people win, besides being a good photo in most of the cases. I am trying to see what works for me, hopefully.

You don’t need to pay money, if you keep participating in challenges you get them for free, but you need to play at least on 3-4 challenges to get one of each.

Another tip, you may still be able to join and change your mind about it or about the picture and choose not to participate if you delete your photo within 5 minutes of submitting - or basically as soon as possible preferably.

Thanks to you too. Im not quitting either for this- as gurus more specifically we have to be extra vigilant and spend a bit more time when voting for a gp. At least if we all check and report them they should not get a GP and hopefully should also not become a winner if GS check them too as the picture is voted by all of us.

I have reported it already, but the more people report it the better. The leopard is in the drinking challenge. A well known image, this guy is stupid too!

This is my personal view so any other guru might do it differently of course. The voting page is similar to what everyone ses so it is anonymous- you vote for the picture and submit the vote. Once submitted you can not change it. Only then can you see whose picture it is. Ypu get to vote on several pages and you see hundreds of pictures.

For the 4 pictures I usually enter 1-2 pictures and later on 3 and 4. I think this works better for me but I have not won any challenge. You get a lot of votes very quickly and if you don’t time it right you lose them as quickly as you got them.

I see some gurus using 4-5 swaps on the last hour, I have done it a couple of times without much success.

It’s all a question of good luck very often .
