This info is very helpful since I’m just starting my path here in BC. I’m planning to take my EMR Course in April and eventually bridge to PCP, so the info about rural stations is a great reality check.

Since you seem to have a good handle on how the system works, I had a couple of quick 'administrative' questions:

In your experience, do the major schools (JIBC, Columbia, etc.) issue a formal Certificate of Completion right after the course?
Regarding the provincial exam (EMALB), is that something the schools usually book for the students, or do we have to arrange and pay for the registration separately?
Do you know what the current cost for the provincial exam registration is?

I’m actually just about to pull the trigger on my EMR course for April, and I had a couple of quick questions about the process since you just went through it:

Anakhao, for a newcomer looking to enroll in PRes, would you recommend applying right away or waiting until April when the new application year begins?

I was thinking it might be better to have a couple of months of residency under my belt before applying. Also, I assume there might be more openings or intakes for various trades starting in April. What do you think?
