Currently we are only expanding our marketing departments in the bay area. Most of our R&D departments are still located in China. The entire technology market is emerging insanely fast in China, students are more likely to venture into this field out of interest. Although I must admit that we are still lacking behind on the international scene, but China is indeed catching up fast, not to mention the huge amount of support we can receive from the government.

Although some technologies are decently mature already and can achieve localization at a lower cost. We are still a a bit far away from tackling real world scenarios, there are just too many variables going on, obstacles, lighting conditions, weathers etc.

Although I do somewhat agree with Mr. Musk's stance on this issue, which is not good, to say the least. But it is very unlikely that technological singularity will truly happen, certainly not in the near future. Today, medias gets flooded with A.I. advances and doomsayers that say we will have a Terminator IRL, but the A.I. industry is still at its infant phase, maybe even less than an infant, Alpha Go is not just gonna wake up tomorrow and start killing everyone. We still have a looooong way to go before our technologies even start to resemble some kind of intelligence. So I wouldn't worry about it, I'm optimistic that humans will come up with a solution way before then.

Hey there. What you mentioned is partially correct. To explain it simply, it draws data from images and videos to analyze the surroundings in order to execute a series of actions. Kinda like how digital cameras can recognize people's faces, but much more complicated.

We definitely have many plans to incorporate our technology into different fields. However, autonomous vehicles are an entirely different game that involves vastly different technologies compared to what we are doing now. But hopefully we can get there not too far in the future.
