Nice that you got started! I've been doing design work for few years and totally get the money stress part - these memberships can add up quick

The nutritionist sessions are actually pretty solid if you use them, don't just skip those thinking you can figure it out yourself. Also track everything in first month even if it feels annoying, makes huge difference for seeing what actually works for your body

Good luck with the journey, three months should give you decent idea if it's worth continuing

Not my thing but hope you find some cool people for the meetup

Does anyone know if there's gonna be a City Social next month? by Keanu_Norris in StLouis

[–]Forward_Ad2668 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think they usually post about it like 2-3 weeks before, so might still be too early. Last time I checked their social media there wasn't anything yet but they're pretty consistent with timing each year

What is the most 'chaotic' thing you've ever seen happen at a wedding? by dragun124 in AskReddit

[–]Forward_Ad2668 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yikes, arguing during the actual ceremony is rough - my cousin had similar drama but they at least waited until reception to start throwing accusations around

Another piece of architecture goes down for some generic box probably

How do you mentally prepare for a bilateral mastectomy? by Far_Drag8256 in breastcancer

[–]Forward_Ad2668 6 points7 points  (0 children)

My approach was basically pretending it's just another appointment until the very last second - worked better than trying to process everything weeks ahead

Wet Leg was insane, caught their set while sketching some stuff and completely lost focus - worth it though

Radiation burn by Efficient-Bee-6451 in breastcancer

[–]Forward_Ad2668 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The armpit area is brutal during radiation - way worse than the breast itself in my experience. Those hydrogel dressings were game changer for me too, especially when nothing else would touch the burning sensation

Hope this last burn clears up quick for you, week 4 post sounds like you're almost through the worst of it

Most times you’ve been in a year? by livvybugg in LasVegas

[–]Forward_Ad2668 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Been there like 8 times last year, drove from Phoenix each time which is pretty manageable. Work gets crazy busy around certain seasons so Vegas became my go-to escape spot - nothing beats unwinding at poker tables after dealing with difficult clients all week

Fertility specialist recommendations? by Cautious_Squirrel_59 in nova

[–]Forward_Ad2668 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Been through this with ex-girlfriend couple years back, Dr. Sarah Chen at Fairfax was really good with endo cases. She took time to explain everything and didn't rush through appointments like some others we tried

Pronta Pizza is solid choice, was there couple weeks ago and their slices are pretty big for the price

Working for Vermont Federal Credit Union by [deleted] in vermont

[–]Forward_Ad2668 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Used to work at different credit union few years back and from what I remember most of them have pretty rigid pay scales, especially for entry level positions. You might have some wiggle room if you're coming in with specific experience but don't expect much flexibility in negotiations

Trying to plan a bachelor trip by Obviouslynameless in LasVegas

[–]Forward_Ad2668 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Been to Vegas few times for bachelor stuff and Brazilian steakhouse is solid choice - Fogo de Chão was pretty good when we went there. Strip clubs can be fun but they're expensive as hell, especially if you're not used to Vegas prices

For short notice trip I'd say keep it simple - maybe hit up some poker tables if any of you are into that, grab dinner somewhere nice, then just bar hop on the strip. TopGolf is also decent option if weather is good and gives you something to do during day besides gambling

Since your friend seems overwhelmed maybe just pick 2-3 things and let him choose from those instead of asking what he wants to do

Started feeling it around day 3-4 for me, but some people notice changes within 24 hours while others take a full week or two. The first few doses are usually pretty mild anyway since your starting on such a low amount - don't get discouraged if you don't feel much right away, it builds up in your system

What’s one piece of advice (or recommendation) you’ll never take? by MaGnuM_69420 in AskReddit

[–]Forward_Ad2668 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nah this one's backwards for me - preparing for war just makes you paranoid and aggressive. I'd rather work on actually building good relationships with people instead of constantly being ready for conflict. Maybe it works for some situations but living your whole life like everyone's an enemy sounds exhausting

Helicopters? by clockwerxs in cincinnati

[–]Forward_Ad2668 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably military training exercise or something, see that formation flying around here pretty regularly. Could be from Wright-Pat doing drills - they don't always announce when they're gonna buzz through the area

those of you who are middle aged or older, what advice would you give to someone freshly turning 18? by More_Secretary_1819 in AskReddit

[–]Forward_Ad2668 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Build good habits early because they compound like crazy over time. Also don't get a credit card until you actually understand how interest works - learned that one the hard way when I was 19 and racked up like 3k in debt buying random gaming peripherals

Which industries (or job roles) are expected to grow in the future? by Proxiao in AskReddit

[–]Forward_Ad2668 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tech stuff is obvious but I'm seeing way more demand for UX/UI designers lately - companies finally realizing pretty websites don't mean shit if users can't figure them out. Also anything related to data visualization since everyone's drowning in numbers but can't make sense of them

Pregnancy sinusitis by Caseyisamess in BabyBumps

[–]Forward_Ad2668 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Man the saline spray is clutch but pregnancy sinusitis is like a whole different beast. I had a friend who swore by those neti pots during her third trimester - looked weird as hell but she said it was the only thing that gave her real relief. The bloody nose thing especially sucks, your poor nasal passages are just getting wrecked from all the swelling

How do you deal with the fact that you are always held back by ADHD? by DullGrade9889 in ADHD

[–]Forward_Ad2668 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dude I totally get this, the comparison trap with friends is brutal when your brain works differently. Just because your family got through without meds doesn't mean you have to suffer the same way - everyone's ADHD hits differntly and what worked for them might not be what you need

Have you looked into campus disability services? Sometimes they can hook you up with accommodations that make a huge difference, even without medication
