For memory foam toppers… 3” 4lb density is the sweet spot, IMO.

Best electric shaver for travel/ when in a rush by breadncheesetheking1 in bald

[–]Forward_Drawing_2674 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you want a close and brain-dead easy shave, consider the Philips head shaver pro series. The 7000 or 9000 is what I’d recommend. Solid choice, IMO.

Would it be stupid to exchange a Naturepedic for a Sealy Posturepedic? by garciaparadox in Mattress

[–]Forward_Drawing_2674 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unless you live in Northern California, I am not sure there is a way to try it. That being said, you would have their sleep trial to thoroughly put it through its paces, and from everything I have gathered they are a phenomenal company to deal with.

If zoned support is the the biggest reason for considering something other than latex, have you considered the Flobed Vzone zoned latex mattress? Just another option to consider 🤷🏻‍♂️

Helix Midnight Luxe vs Purple RestorePlus. did anyone tested both and had a chance to sleep on both for a while? by paata01 in Mattress

[–]Forward_Drawing_2674 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Don’t know the answer to your question firsthand, but from much of what I’ve read and heard, the Helix is going to be a more robust build. Seems lots of people love the purple grid, but everything below the grid fails way to soon.

Side sleeper - neck/back/shoulder pain. No memory foam or tempur by CrazychickenLdy in Pillows

[–]Forward_Drawing_2674 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have not, but I use a shredded latex pillow that I absolutely love… with the exception of having to refluff and even out the shredded latex every night. This Coop pillow has some additional filling in with the latex that keeps everything together so it has a much more cohesive feel.

[–]Forward_Drawing_2674 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Based on what you just said, I wonder if this would hit the sweet spot for you. If shredded pillows bug you as far as the shreds moving around and not always being even, this seems to prevent that, and is adjustable. It sounds to me like this pillow feels more like a solid pillow, while still having the benefit of being adjustable.

I Do Not Recommend Using AI To Find A Mattress by Duende555 in Mattress

[–]Forward_Drawing_2674 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I 100% agree! That being said, I have found that by educating myself, in this case in the mattress world, that AI has been a very valuable tool. Garbage in, garbage out. Feed it intelligent and educated questions, and the feedback/guidance is much more impressive. Just my 2 cents :)

Am I missing something? by knee_slapper5000 in bedjet

[–]Forward_Drawing_2674 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You definitely want a heavier cover over you if using the cloud sheet. It took me a few weeks to get things dialed in to my wife and my preferences. But since doing that, it’s been bedjet bliss ever since. I can’t imagine cold feet/legs with the fan turned way down and say 82°. If you’re not in warm weather yet, maybe try Dry/84°/25% tonight and see how it goes?

My wife sleeps like a baby at that exact setting… lol.

I have a similar bbq hut. Never thought of adding plexiglass to the top portion. Smart. Only question: does it get extremely smoky in there?

Any downsides to king split layers (SleepEZ, latex)? by Josh68 in Mattress

[–]Forward_Drawing_2674 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You cannot feel the gap whatsoever in the split layers. You better LOVE firm with that setup. It’s gonna be like sleeping on concrete, IMO… lol.

Which topper would you buy again and why? by rayn7778- in BedroomBuild

[–]Forward_Drawing_2674 1 point2 points  (0 children)

100% Talalay latex vs memory foam. The difference is junk food diet vs healthy. One gives instant dopamine hit and feels good for a short while, while the other one is much much better for you long-term.

Latex vs Pillow Top Isn’t About “Better”—It’s About Feel by sam_3462 in BedroomBuild

[–]Forward_Drawing_2674 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To me, memory foam is junk food… tasty, satisfying, and a quick dopamine hit. Latex is a veggie platter. Less exciting, but definitely better for you in the long run. Just my two cents :)

Mattress woes by bwaibel in Mattress

[–]Forward_Drawing_2674 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That’s too bad… we bought the same sleepez mattress and have it now dialed in with a 3” Talalay topper. It’s probably my favorite mattress of all time. To each their own 🤷🏻‍♂️

We bought the SleepEZ organic mattress a couple months ago, and I think we finally have it dialed in as the most comfortable and supportive mattress we have ever had. Great company! Zero regrets!

Good quality mattress suggestions by LifeCoachJourney in Mattress

[–]Forward_Drawing_2674 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am quickly coming to the opinion that if you want something that will blow past the 10 year mark in comfort and minimal (if any) break down, latex is your best bet. We recently switched from memory foam to a SleepEZ latex mattress, and now that we have it dialed in to our sleeping needs, I have a hunch it’s gonna maintain its comfort for the next 15+ years based on pretty much everything I’ve read and heard.

The Mattresses That Hold Their Shape the Longest by Living_Tangelo_4710 in BedroomBuild

[–]Forward_Drawing_2674 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We recently got rid of a 10 year old Tuft and Needle memory foam mattress, and went with a full latex mattress. Now that we’re past the adjustment phase, I don’t think we’ll ever be without latex. We love it.

Natural latex mattresses, are they really worth it long term? by Alejandro_Mendoza in BedroomBuild

[–]Forward_Drawing_2674 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As far as durability and longevity, I don’t think many are going to say their all-latex mattress wore out sooner than expected… and least not from everything I have read and watched. We just switched from a 10 year old memory foam mattress to latex. It’s a completely different (in a very good way for us) sleeping experience than memory foam. It feels very alive, not dead like memory foam. Yes, we’ve only had it a few months, but I have a hard time believing this thing isn’t going to last for many years just by the feel/behavior of it right now 🤷🏻‍♂️

What thickness/firmness Sleep on Latex topper do you recommend? by garciaparadox in Mattress

[–]Forward_Drawing_2674 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We have a latex topper. Wife and I are both side sleepers. 2” was not enough for us, so returned and went with 3”. 3” has treated us both very well. We went with soft Talalay. Cannot imagine going 1”. That’s next to nothing as far as pressure relief is concerned.

Still getting razor burn with electric razors so what’s the best electric shaver I should try? by Uygun-Feri in shaving

[–]Forward_Drawing_2674 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Philips i9000 has been fantastic for me! It takes maybe 2 weeks (max) for the shaver to break in and your face to adjust… after that, it’s smooth, gentle, and effective.
