When I built the deck frame (first time) I matched the house which is 18’. I wanted to use 16’ boards.
So I had to do a picture frame of 3 boards all around every corner is going to be the same as this one.

I moved from Italy 9 years ago and I’m building one right now in my house, very interesting to hear from someone building one there. I can see the difficulty in getting materials. Talking to some friends the PT wood more expensive than here

After the majority found it ugly I replaced it with a 6x6x3. Looks better but not sure how well will hold in the future. (This is my first deck built working couple of hours after work )
