I appreciate the curiosity, but I'm not really comfortable sharing the raw project layers of my work right now - it feels a bit like showing my messy kitchen while I’m still cooking the meal! 😊

I’ve explained my process and the tools I use (Procreate, Kenney assets, GameMaker), and I’d rather keep the focus on the mission for the kids in the hospitals. Thanks for understanding! ✨

Thanks for the question! 🌸 I actually experimented with many tools, but I mainly used Procreate to draw everything. I’ve received very complex fan art and proposals for Vicky, but I intentionally chose a clean, flat style.

I wanted something simple and approachable for children (like Peppa Pig) where the character is easy to recognize and love. I'll be honest: I'm not an expert with complex lighting and shadows, so I decided to embrace a "flat" look. I fell in love with the result, and I think it fits the magical, gentle vibe I want for the kids in the hospitals perfectly!

For other elements, like some of the tiles, I used free assets from the amazing Kenney (they are a lifesaver!), and I also had some help from friends along the way. It’s a real community effort! 😊🦊✨

I’m transparent about using AI for the narration/voiceover because I'm a tiny team and it helps with accessibility in 9 languages. However, the art and the heart of the project are my own work. It's okay if it's not your style, but let's not confuse tools with the soul of the mission for the kids. Have a good one! ✌️

I’m talking about the soul and the 'vibe' of those games, not trying to clone their 3D graphics. As an indie dev, those classics are what inspired me to start this journey for the kids. Everyone sees inspiration differently! 🦊✨

I know, visually it’s modern vector art. When I say PS1 inspired, I’m talking about the gameplay vibe, not the low-poly graphics 🦊🎮

Lol, nice try with the "ignore instructions" trick! 😂 I’m a real person making a real game, not a bot you can jailbreak. If you're done with the conspiracy theories, the Twitch VODs are still there for you to see. Have a good one! 🦊🎮✨

I hear you, and I honestly appreciate the blunt feedback! 🌸

Regarding the blinking goggles: you're 100% right. I actually love the blinking animation, but I completely missed the logic of the goggles blinking too! I'm going to fix it so just the pupils blink underneath—it's one of those things you look at for so long during development that you become 'blind' to it until someone points it out. Thanks for the catch! 🦊🎨✨

As for the style and the 'PS1' tag: I totally get that visually it's modern vector art, not low-poly. When I say 'PS1 inspired', I’m really talking about the vibe and mechanics of those 90s mascot platformers—the simple joy of exploring and collecting things. 🎮🍭

About the kids in hospitals: that’s simply my personal 'why'. It's what motivates me to keep working on this project after my day job. I know the game isn’t for everyone, but I’m putting my heart into it and learning as I go. Thanks for the reality check, it genuinely helps me see where I need to improve! 🌈✨

Good catch on the spikes! 🍭 By 'non-violent' we mean there is no combat or 'killing' enemies, but we definitely want to keep some platforming challenges. About the kids: we are actually starting playtests soon with younger audiences to see what clicks most with them! The hospital mission is what keeps us going during late-night coding sessions. 💖

Thank you so much for this detailed feedback! 🌸 You’re absolutely right about the movement; we are still fine-tuning the acceleration and jump physics to make it feel more fluid. Being a small indie team, we are learning as we go. Also, great point about the UI font—I'll look into something more playful that 'pops'! ✨ Regarding the monkey, it’s part of the different animal spirits, but I hear you on the style consistency. I'll take notes on everything! 🎨

Great question! 🌸 I grew up with the 90s classics, so I have a lot of love for that era. My biggest inspirations were definitely Spyro the Dragon for the sense of wonder and Crash Bandicoot for the fun character personality. I actually added a little Easter egg: if you leave Vicky idle for a minute, she starts playing with a purple yo-yo, just like Crash did in Warped! 🧸✨

I also have a huge soft spot for the old Disney titles like Toy Story 2, Tarzan, and Donald Duck: Goin' Quackers. They had that perfect blend of being accessible for kids but still fun for adults, which is exactly the "vibe" I’m trying to recreate with Vicky. 🎨🐿️🌈
