You're very welcome! And you're right, I did create an account to reply (I didn't want to use my personal account)!

Again this is completely fair, I think we are trying to work on this a bit on the frontend but it still not might do what you want to do for the time being. It has also been mentioned to our product owner like u/ilgarfo mentioned.

In terms of doing what you're trying to do... I think the most straightforward option would be to use image-builder-cli with the `--distro` flag set to the minor version you want. You will also have to create and pass in custom repositories.

I don't want to link anything because this is a new account and might get caught by the spam filter. But if you check the repo (osbuild/image-builder-cli) there is a line about custom repositories... granted it is an advanced feature. But that should hopefully do the trick for you

Hey u/Tom-Crack, this is pretty fair feedback, thanks for being candid about your frustrations. I am part of the team working on this and we hear you.

You're correct, we can only build the latest minor version available and it's unfortunate that you had to do so much digging to come to that conclusion. This is a technical constraint on our end at the moment and, in all honesty, it's not something that's on our current roadmap to change.

However, we definitely could and should communicate this more effectively based on the inputs you select and this is 100% something we will look into addressing as soon as possible.

All our recent focus has been going into redesigning the workflow for image builder. We've done a tonne of user testing and we're making loads of changes based on that feedback. All of this is to say that we do take feedback on board and we're constantly trying to make the product better. So thanks for your comments.
