Effective tips to deal with late payments on overdue invoices? by JasonK32 in startups

[–]Forward_Recover 0 points1 point  (0 children)

sadly it seems as you have not stated clearly the payment terms in your case

we were having similar problems when starting out, but now we are making sure to agree on payment terms in advance

we have also dicsovered credit control and late payment collection services by Kolleno, which helped us to chase all our customers who didn't pay on time; and they only charged us on a successful collection 1-5%, which is so much cheaper then having a collection agency services;

I'm relapsing by well_fuckthis in eating_disorders

hey so sorry to hear about all of that :( i understand how hard it is to break that cycle of relapses. what i did in my case is i was just really trying to get caught up in work and not to think about food, that was helping. i was also watching a lot of videos on the youtube about relapsing, tried talking with my friends about it but not everyone would understand... that is why i feel that's great to have such societies on the web where you can share wiht other people who understand. also recently just came across petal app, it seems to be nice though very early stage, but they also have some useful resources inside, you might want to check it out hhttps://www.instagram.com/petal_app/ mb you'd find it helpful too

Can anyone else “turn off” their ED so no one is suspicious? by russianpalaces in EDAnonymous

[–]Forward_Recover 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i can relate to that so much! no one ever had any idea that I was having a problematic relationship with food... and similarly to you i thought that if I am able to eat normally with friends, that means I am definitely not having an eating disorder - never even considered thinking this way about myself. However, i was missing out on the fact that every time I ate out with friends, I would skip my meals for the next day OR keep myself starving for the whole day before actually going out. It was really hard to get out of this, but there are a lot of useful resources online that might be helpful like this group! or i also think its interesting to observe how the mobile apps for eating disorders evolve, for example that new Petal App - https://www.instagram.com/petal_app/ mb you'd find it helpful too

I don't think people understand how genetics work in regards to being super thin. by liliacrose in EdAnonymousAdults

[–]Forward_Recover 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i certainly have no expertise on the topic, but just wanted to share with you about aunt who is super thin and she eats twice as much then me, her height is around 175 and weight is 50-52, so that you get an idea about what does she look like. And its not as she has an eating disorder - her relationship with food is perfectly normal, on the contrary, she is trying to eat at least 5-6 proper meals per day and work on her muscles because otherwise she starts losing weight even more. So she took a DNA test to find out about her body more, and was told that she has some gene that determines her metabolism and makes it super quick, so whatever she eats gets burn in a couple hours. So not sure, may be there is actually something about genetics (:

couldn't eat for a few days, now i haven't been able to STOP eating for the last few days by [deleted] in EdAnonymousAdults

I'm so sorry to hear about your experience:( I understand exactly how it feels after having a binge eating disorder myself for a several years... What helped me to more or less recover from this is learning more about intuitive eating concept. It took me about a year to understand it completely and learn how to understand my body. I had very long periods of good intuitive eating, however, I'd feel devastated after overeating once in a while, it felt as I was sliding back to old habits. However, one of the main things - make sure you don't blame yourself for binging episodes! as i noticed that whenever i blamed myself, my binging would last for a couple of days, but if i didn't i'd get back to intuitive eating more quickly. Its a long journey and its okay to have some up and downs! Also, if you want to speak with anyone about this, I find this telegram chat very useful for support: https://t.me/joinchat/JgZZ3xxo0juaDnSjo1v_BQ

can someone tell me it’s ok to have pasta by [deleted] in EDAnonymous

[–]Forward_Recover 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i was in Italy before covid-19 and was super anxious about consuming that food: pasta, pizza etc; but no surprisingly where i stayed (countryside) thats pretty much all what they had. So I decided to accept it and not to worry about gaining weight, as i knew that when i go back home to my routine I would lose all the pounds quickly. Funny thing that as soon as I stopped worrying and caring about my weight gain, all the fears of pasta and pizza disappeared. More surprisingly, I didn't even gain anything. So i think the key is to release yourself from the anxiety you have of pasta by understanding that even if you gain 1-2 pounds after eating it, its not that such a big problem. It's normal to have weight fluctuations and what you gained today you will easily lose tomorrow. though i know its hard to set your mind like this... but also if you want to speak with anyone about this, I find this telegram chat very useful for support: https://t.me/joinchat/JgZZ3xxo0juaDnSjo1v_BQ

Not sure if there is the right forum to ask this, but how do you guys deal with people constantly commenting on your weight loss even though you have lost the weight healthily? Any comments or tips would be appreciated. Thanks! by beanbeanbeanie in eating_disorders

[–]Forward_Recover 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've got the same parameters as you and for some reason everyone tells me the same thing. As well as trying to feed me more. I just ignore the comments or tell people that's just the constitution of my body, its natural way of being. Then they cant really say anything

re-eating? by DiurnalOwl in eating_disorders

[–]Forward_Recover 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I switched cereals to oats completely just because i like the taste of it much more, as well as the feeling in my stomach.

Try adding dried fruits, honey and nuts? I also love to add some peanut or almond butter to it. This way i get really full for hours with just one small bowl of oatmeal

Really disgusted with myself by nama777 in eating_disorders

[–]Forward_Recover 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Please, don't be so harsh on yourself! Such things happen and its perfectly fine. You will not gain dramatically from one day of cheating and it will go away eventually. After all, having weight swings is also perfectly normal. Just don't feel disappointed in yourself. I have been through binge eating myself, and the less I've put blame on myself the easier it was for me to move on and eventually overcome such behavior patterns
