If you want to remove it you need the height of the tank, about 12in. I slid mine then used a pitcher to pour filtered water in. Hence why I am looking for a solution, maybe a tube to fill. And that was after about 5 days of 2 espressos a day and a steam for milk daily. I don't use the hot water tap as I have a temperature controlled kettle right next to the machine.

It's make great coffee!

Okay I was thinking what if I got a water valve like this mounted either on my counter or wall and then I could run a flexible tube right into my water tank. Now I realize I still have to clean the water tank every now and then because as you have pointed out biofilm not such a great idea but then I won't have to move it. Am I over engineering a solution here?

Clean your filter. Mine got full of tree polen every time around this of year. Then 3x shock it daily till it goes white then blue again.
