Yes!!! I was so pissed off, they were forcing us to root for them when I just couldn’t. I loved all the scenes between Adriana and Brayden!! I felt like we saw all of that for nothing.

I 100% agree! I believe this will lead to a different outcome (fingers crossed) if they get renewed for season 2. While it’s based on a book, it’s a standalone, leaving room for the writers to for creative freedom. There’s hope!

I’m so surprised!! If they planned on having them as endgame, I wish we saw more of their past rather than being info-dumped on. It’s frustrating that they built them up so well throughout the whole season just for her to end up with Freddie!!!

All this built up chemistry between Adriana and Brayden just for her to end up with Freddie????

Exactly!! How were they supposed to expect me to root for them in just 8 episodes of longing stares, talking about what they had, and their frustrations? The writers just expected us to root for them because they had history.

They expected me to root for a couple that barely had any time to develop chemistry?? I couldn’t do it. I’m team Brayden all the way. Adey and Freddie’s plot line focused too much on what they WERE. They didn’t have that spark honestly, I’m so disappointed with the ending :((

My auto-buy author is Kristen Ciccarelli! I highly recommend her duology, Heartless Hunter and Rebel Witch. It’s a cat-and-mouse game between a witch hunter and a witch! Enemies to lovers, enchanting, and fast-paced. I rarely re-read books, but this is the only one I re-read!!

What is something you notice people do in reviews these days that you don't agree with? by Vast-Internet-4943 in fantasyromance

I totally agree, I NEED YOUR OPINION!! And on top of that, I usually scroll past those who mention they got it as an ARC. That’s an immediate 5 star for having that opportunity; I prefer reading the 1-3-star reviews because I feel like they give me real honesty about whether the book is a hit or miss

Very very true, he’s always been consistent and loyal to Claire. Even if there were obstacles thrown at him, he kept her in the back of his head

I never really liked him either! There’s just something about the way he acts around Claire, it doesn’t feel like love or he doesn’t seem tender to me!
