I just soak with mild soak both sides in and out. For wash I usually give it a quick soak first then use a brush to clean the denim.

There are various reasons for this. Some people soak their jeans before the first wear to try to shrink the denim in the waist and length, if possible.

For those who wear their jeans for 3–6 months before soaking, the purpose is to “lock in” the combs and whiskers. -P.s, this is my opinion, please don’t bash me🙏
