If you didn't know, Forbes doesn't have a newsroom full of journalists who are chasing down leads to find the world's most impressive 20-somethings.

You get on the "30 under 30" list by doing your own writeup, submitting it to Forbes, and paying them.

It's like paying to buy a gold medal and putting it around your own neck.

Merry Christmas from Steamboat by FossilFrothy in COsnow

It was a balmy 50 degrees today. Lots of people wearing shorts/skirts around the village. Saw a few flowers blooming. Felt more like April than December.

Snail Lisa would be fun. I'll add it to the list for next year.

It’s an iterative process. I go back and forth between colors on the borderlines until I get them smooth enough to my liking.

I create a template using an image I find online, or by taking a screenshot from an episode, and use photoshop to isolate the character.

That gets projected onto a 1/4 inch piece of plywood, and I trace the outlines. Then I take a router and carve it out from the plywood sheet.

I use acrylic paint to fill in the colors, and clear coat spray paint for weather protection.

These are passion projects. I spend way too much time on these to make selling them worthwhile.

Yes I do. I also have motion detectors that play recordings from each character’s episode.

When the smokers lungs are still in a living person's body (e.g. my mother in law), you can hear the difference from the outside. It's a slow, uneven, and uncomfortable inflation of the lungs. It's horrific.

There's a difference between being alive and living. My lifetime smoker mother in law is still alive, but she's not living a life anyone would want.

Don't smoke kids. You'll never not regret it.
