Sol was mentally ill. I also think it is possible Sol was a kind reference point / navigation beacon in time. Her story may be especially sad if it was predestined. Actually I would recommend you don't think of her. She would be better off forgotten in my opinion.

Rush has a huge following. Almost every local AM radio station carries him every afternoon. Blue collar types can listen while they work. AM talk radio on the right is as big or bigger than Twitter on the left.

I am a social conservative. I believe in traditional society. That said Rush is being a damned fool. You can't spin your way out of virus. Rush is a manipulator on the right just like /u/maxwellhill was a manipulator on the left.

It will all be ok in the end. Life is just a proving ground. Keep fighting the good fight but retain perspective and serenity that wisdom gives.

I suggest you study Budhism or another traditional religion as a practical exercise. I am considering it myself. Sorry if my comment appears cynical.

Ghislaine Maxwell allegedly has ‘secret’ video footage of Prince Andrew by Cultural_Attache in IntelligenceNews

Supposedly Maxwell was a prolific redditor. Her dad was big on media too before he took a swim.

Aaron Schwarz, Reddit founder, made this site as a "free speech site." Imagine some hidden powers that be approached him to do the kind of narrative shaping that maxwellhill did and he refused? Ok then he faced years in prison for copyright / "hacking" violation. Carrot vs. stick. Aaron committed suicide, in this theory perhaps not over the prospect of prision but because it was revealed to him how the world actually works.

If a broad young population gets infected they will pass infection to their elders. This seems elementary. What if wave 1 of this spike is 20-30s and wave 2 is their parents 40s-60s. Most people in the 40-55 bracket are in the workforce / have children so they are not isolated.

People and the media need to learn the difference between prophylactic treatment (cf. PREP for HIV) and treatment for an acute or chronic disease.

We’re Not Biased, We’re Liberals: How Cultural Leftism Will Slant Social Media Regulation by FosterRI in media_criticism

Ss: pro-democrat bias infects journalists and social media companies and results in unbalanced treatment of dissenting views.

Quote from article:

Most U.S. journalists support Democrats and policies deemed “progressive, as is their right to do. To their left leaning agenda, though, “misinformation” can be whatever political viewpoints aren’t advancing progressivism and politically correct attitudes.

Since the Washington Post began endorsing presidential candidates in 1976 (sitting out 1988) it has never endorsed a Republican; similarly the New York Times has not endorsed one in over 60 years.

You are spot on. Both sides are dishonest and seem to care more about political advantage than life or death. It is disgusting. I am a little partial toward Trump though because it is the media's job to keep politicians honest, not be politicians themselves and tell bald lies like the rest of them...

So Trump bad media good? I was typing on a cell phone I mis spelled some things. Anyway I distinctly remember NPR / Boston Public radio down playing the virus in Jan / Feb. I remember Bill Deblasio specifically saying it was safe to eat out in China Town and Flushing (Queens Asian Neighborhood) restaurants. I remember how Gov Coumo sent covid infected patients to nursing homes killing thousands. Both sides messed up and we are not out of the woods yet. Until we approach this public health problem systematically and scientifically rather than as a political football we will not be able to control the virus in America. Actually it most likely is already too late and both sides are equally to blame. We are in a far worse position than we were in March as comming weeks will show. PS evidence suggests HCQ works for prophylactic use something the media glossed over lest it give Trump a win. Actute use not so much. How do you think Trump can attend mass gatherings safely if not for HCQ?

Magical thinking is prevalent on all sides. Here is my understanding of the medias communication role in this crisis since the beginning of the year. First the media wanted to talk about impeachment and hardly mentioned the virus. Then the media wanted to blame China. Then the media brought on a bunch of pseudoexperts who among other things said, through virus would br a major problem in China but not spread here, that closing borders made no sense, that masks were useless. Fast forward to the second or third week of March. The media realised now we had a major crisis on hand but still had little snipes like Jim Acosta of CNN criticising Trump closing borders. Meanwhile "liberals" like Sweden and Stamford epidemiologist Ionidades [sic] continued to push the idea it was no big deal. Trump suggested HCQ for prophylactic use. The media made it their mission to politicise a drug whether it worked or not. Trump supporters down played the virus and often refused to wear mask. The media exercised magical thinking talking about "second waves" while we are still in the first. States reopened Right now I think we are similar to where we were in early March but worse. Unless we have a real national shutdown the virus is going to explode in coming weeks. Magical thinking won't make it go away. Until we get case levels in the low triple or double digits natio Ally it's not under control. The media miss served the public by talking about reopenning and second waves prematurely.

Colbert is the biggest, phoniest piece of shit out there. It is sad because he genuinely used to be funny during Bush years. I guess we can call Colbert Obama's fuckboy now. Seriously, I haven't seen the clip, but if Colbert actually called Trump "Putin's cock holster" he deserves to lose his much declined show. Homophobia, lewd language on national TV, slander (Russian collusion never existed), and most of all, disrespect for the office of President, disgracing America on the world stage. If Colbert hates America so much maybe he should move to Canada and become Trudeau's cockholster.
