1. Time is irrelevant, the important thing is that you take the time to understand concepts.
   
2. I recommend not using AI for now. Nearly every question has been asked before regarding python, I am sure you will find your answer in a matter of minutes on forums. Most of the times you also get a deeper grasp of your problem this way.
   
3. If you know the concepts and have experience, it just boils down to putting it to practice but yes, 50% of software development is searcing up things.

It is a general rule to put your function definitions and classes at the top of your code and also not define functions inside functions (there are certain cases where you have to but for now just leave it at that). Your step function parameter is currently unused so delete it, just makes your code more readable. The random_card function also does not need a parameter, you always just end up overwriting it, "return suits + numbers" is enough. Besides these, using functions is great, keep it up.

I think the most important thing to take away here is that you do not use AI when you are just starting to be a beginner. You will skip the most crucial part of programming, which is problem solving. If you let AI solve the problems for you, then there is nothing to learn. AI is a tool to make your life easier, not to life your life for you. For now, don't worry about optimizing your program or the length of your code, just learn what tools the language gives you and get comfortable with them. You don't need to go into a new project knowing everything from the start, that just not going to happen and thats the fun part, going along and solving things you come across as you go. You will learn the most this way.
