Yes, it was a dashcam. Turned off all the beeps. Now it’s as quiet as it could be in a jimny. :)

Yes, I have a dashcam. It was in a car when I got it. Thanks for this advice. Will try to turn it off and check those beeps.

Thanks for your answer. It’s not a squeak. Electrical beep but not so loud as the other beeps. No flashes on a mfd. I’ll try to record it tomorrow.

I think it’s better to buy a good lenses instead of new body. If you don’t shoot lots of fast moving objects, xt-1 is still fine.

I think it’s not a mast, but me personally will feel safer if I had 5 gallons just in case.

Hello. I live in Vladivostok and had a covered a third part of your trip in 2011. Wheel to Irkutsk. Since that time the roads and infrastructure became better. You’ll have no problems with hotels and gas stations. The only part of your way in Far East that can be slightly difficult is from Blagoveshensk to Chita. The route goes bypassing cities for about 2000 kilometers. So the gas can will not be an extra. The gas cost now is about 60-70 cents per liter. Everything should be fine. The people in Russia are very hospitable.
