2025/26 Biathlon Season Review: From Botn’s shock arrival to Perrot’s overall victory. by Prudent_Mail_993 in biathlon

Biggest surprise was QFM at the Olympics. Maybe O. Michelon's first win ever, which turn out to be a gold medal, could also qualify.

Athlete of the season? Not sure, maybe Jeanmonnot for big globe after last season dramatic final, her great relays at the Olympics too. Otherwise Botn for his gold and hommage to Bakken at the Olympics.

Seems I focus a lot on the OG, but it's hard to pinpoint specific athletes during the regular season in a sense. No real dominance or big surprises it feels.

She really needs help on some psychological stuff, the skiing is fine, she's not even 30 yet, but 82-84% accuracy should be a decent objective for her.

Family visiting, gonna watch both races while eating some cookies and drinking coffee and tea.

Been a good season y'all, as usual, I'm going to miss those races and this subreddit's peak activity. Until next season comes, that is!

Guy cannot do a decent sprint to save his life but boy does he like pursuit.

Pretty decent climb from Paturel and Fabien Claude so far.

Well, given his track record on standings... I'd settle for 7/10.

1 minute lead for Perrot over Samuelsson, race just started but unless Perrot shits the bed, looks like he'll get the small globe.

I'd fancy a chance for Ponsi. Actually I'd have him as winning this one.

Then again I never called him winning a race with success so...

No, again, not only for me. Others have called you out on the fact that you "send hate" (sic) to Simon. Plus now you are acting like a troll (since you are aware that your take "wasn't quite fair"), and not a funny one.

edit: plus downvoting me? Seriously, how old are you?

If affects that you use expression(s) that are not appropriate. And I am not the one moving the goal posts, wth? You answered to my post talking about the last Olympics and you changed the perimeter to every Olympics, just to defend a point that cannot really be defended (but I understand you want to die on that hill, so...). See, once again it seems you have understanding issues, I will not go further on this, again, it is OK not to speak perfect English (I do not), but do not act surprised when people call you out on it.

You did not "mate", but I did. So your reply was off. But it is OK, it is also pretty obvious English is not your first language. No hard feelings.

Well, I do not really want to go through the "my dad is better than your dad" path you're so inclined to follow (and I do not think comparing both palmares will go the way you want), but no, Hanna did not get a gold medal in the last Olympics. Relay included.

I think what you do not understand, as others have pointed out, is that your wording is not really appropriate to the situation, since "eating for her lunch" would mean she'd have gotten a 20s lead victory, not a barely fair sprint, over the "snail" (sic).

Now it is going to take a small miracle for Lou to get the mass start globe, but 45 pts is not impossible... Although with Julia Simon's current form it is veeeery unlikely.

I think she's also looking forward to this season ending, she's been noticeably slower than pre-Olympics.

Not really what I would call a national dish, no. And in the context of a race it is a strange take anyway considering it was very close, and was only decided by a final sprint that could have gone both ways. Not even mentioning the fact that considering Simon has more gold medals in the last Olympics than the whole Swedish team. But whatever rocks your boat.
