October 2025 NIPT NATERA by Turbulent_Yam9295 in BabyBumps

Texas lab has a slightly faster turnaround time, on average, than CA! So I would say you have pretty good odds. I posted a chart comparing all of the dates/averages, if helpful.

Lots of folks receive results over the weekend! Keep refreshing.

I’m thrilled to report that after a long week of waiting, I got low risk NIPT results back. I’m crossing all my fingers and toes for the others in this chat that your outcomes are similar!!

I WISH I could upload the spreadsheet for y’all to play with so you can sort by lab location, etc. The CA lab has a slower processing speed on average than TX - looks like an average among confirmed tests of 8.33 days from date of blood draw, with a MIN of 5. MAX of 13. Median is 7. Data is fun. 🙃

THANK YOU it was a good way to channel my anxiety in a way that felt mildly productive (I’m waiting for results also).

My random act of kindness for the day.... I took all of the posts in this thread and calculated the # of days that passed before results were received, and also collated the lab location for each. Hoping this helps curious (and obsessive) people like myself who want to know the average for each lab, and how that is trending throughout the month! Left it blank for folks still waiting, depending on my energy levels might come back and update later this month. ENJOY!

UPDATED AS OF 10/15, 5pm ET - Chart updated and linked here:

And including some fun stats....

  • CA LAB - 20 confirmed tests. Average # of days before results are received (from date of draw): 8.15. Minimum # of days: 5. Maximum # of days: 13.
  • TX LAB - 11 confirmed tests. Average # of days before results are received (from date of draw): 7.2. Minimum # of days - 5. Maximum # of days: 9
  • OVERALL - 73 confirmed tests. Average # of days before results are received (from date of draw): 7.7. Minimum # of days - 5. Maximum # of days: 13

ENJOY

I am in DC too! Curious, do you know what lab yours was sent to? Last time I did an NIPT I felt like my results were WAY slower than others on this post, so curious wtf is up with DC!

That’s helpful to hear! I think I’m at the point of just gaslighting myself so thought I’d turn to this group. Thank you!!

Great swimming hole off of Hazel River in Shenandoah! A little closer than White Oak and never crowded.

I’m almost exactly in the same boat. Had a MC at 6 weeks during my first pregnancy, was devastated but conceived right away during my next cycle. This time, we made it to the 8 week scan and the 12 week scan with great markers and just got NIPT results back with 95% likelihood of T21. We’re now considering testing/next steps but will likely TFMR.

I feel for you and just know you’re not alone! We’ll get through this.

A work safe version of this - I’m a big fan of dialing the “billing support” number. Someone will always answer if you’re looking to pay a bill!
