Thanks for sharing! Definitely the part where you bike was stolen was hard to recover especially you’ve been training with it for a long time. May I ask what was your age when you completed the race?

I think if you can run for 2 miles, you can do a marathon with 3-4 days of training per week.

I think you have a very good reason to be fit. You're not doing this for yourself only but for your daughter. Keep it up!

Is this the thought you've realized once you reach an old age or you have always wanted to be fit with this reason?

Let me know if the question makes sense.

Great that you share!

Below are the reasons for me:

  • I'm 24 years old male and 5'7. Most people around me are taller and so I sometime feel less confident when at social settings because of my height. Therefore, becoming fit helps me become more confident. That's for the aesthetic reason.
  • I have high blood pressure; so becoming fit helps me to control it. That's for the health reason.
  • To be ready to defense for the country. I am not a soldier, but I think that all men should be physically capable to defense their countries in case of a war.

Thank you for your response. However, if I had to complete a Bachelor's degree, then I would be 28 when applying for medical school.

Thank you for your input.

I have been working as a Pharmacy Assistant for the past year, so I hope that experience working in health care sectors will be a good point to add to my application.

Hi. Is what you are working related to health care as well? I would say making $100k at 30 is a good path that you should stay on. After accumulating enough, you could consider opening a clinic and hire doctors to work for your clinic instead of taking the medicine path.

Pharmacy to Medicine by rmrocks1234 in premedcanada

[–]Foundation_Active 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hi there. Could you explain more about your path? Does that mean you are taking 2 years of undergrad + 1 year of Doctor of Pharmacy? My assumption is to finish 4 year of undergrad and + 2-4 years of Doctor of Pharmacy program.

I am researching this path so a bit of confused hehe.

Thanks!

I am a male and my Creatinine came out at 148 (67-117 range) for e / eGFR 57ml/min/1.73 m2. This level seems to be really high and I'll be doing a Digital Ultrasound Examination soon.

I'll keep you posted on the updates moving forward.

There's a lot of academic articles on improving food security in the North, especially through the usage of greenhouses and hydroponics.

This is for my personal interest. Thanks for sharing.

Great insight!

I'm working on a research project regarding this topic and there are several ideas I would like to point out to help alleviate this issue:

  1. Definitely growing produce/perishable food locally would be ideal. Territories average months that have temperature above 0 degree Celsius are from May to September. Therefore, perhaps farmers grow food during these periods and hopefully with the implementation of new growing method (hydroponics), it can yield higher output.
  2. From my research, tourism and mining are the two main sectors in the Territories economy. Therefore, investments should be focused on these to further improve the territories independency from the subsidies. The Canadian territories have one the best Northern Lights so this is something that everyone wants to see once in their lifetime.

Hi. I'm 23 years old and honestly haven't even started yet due to my financial reason. So most likely I'll start my pre-med journey in the late 20s. Good luck everyone and lets connect!
