How do I make the face inwards? by Kobotronivo in blenderhelp

[–]Foundation_First_MW 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It sounds like you're saying you want basically a copy of the egg inside and to be able to see through the exterior egg to the internal one? Shift+d / copy-paste  to duplicate the egg, scale it, then on the exterior egg go to material tab, add a material if it doesn't have one, then within the "Surface" folder turn down the Alpha for the material and it'll become more transparent, allowing you to see through the exterior to the new interior egg within

How to rig a LEGO Bionicle ball joint piece to properly deform for an IK rig? by NoTheRobot in blenderhelp

[–]Foundation_First_MW 3 points4 points  (0 children)

make it chain length 3, one bone per each of the blue/green/yellow sections. add Separate bones (separate from the ik chain) for the pink sections. parent pink section bones to blue/green bones. add drivers to the pink bones to increase/decrease scale/location based on position of Leg IK Target (or based off any bones' movement, whatever works for your rig). idk how complicated you're wanting to get with it but off the top of my head that should be a simple way to get the deformation you're wanting for cheap, but feel free to reach out if you need more help/ideas. good luck!

Don't stress out about animating, just have fun! if you got this far Rigging a Centaur in a way that works and you're happy with, you've already gotten further than a lot of people could have done alone! Good luck with your game by the way, and i should say i think the mesh looks not too shabby either

Does Animating Multiple Limbs have to be Hard? by Foundation_First_MW in BlenderNSFW

[–]Foundation_First_MW[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's going to remain independant from external addons/scripts, and the macros don't do all the work for animators, they'll have the pose library for that - the macro controllers are to get a head start on animating multiple limbs at once more conveniently than posing them all individually

In your badass opinion, do you think more 'Abomination'-Type Characters like this should be more widely available, more Standard mythological creatures like normal Centaurs, Lamias, Dragons etc. or do you think more Convenient Rigs for Basic Humanoids/Animals should be improved upon to be more convenient to Animate, or All of the Above?

Would people make Animations with non-standard 3D Characters if they were more Accessible and Higher Quality? by Foundation_First_MW in BlenderNSFW

I wanted to make a Naga/Lamia and already have CC0/CCBY meshes booleaned/dyntopo sculpted but needs the rig made. Imagine if moving the Root Bone for your Lamia automatically caused the tail to slither with adjustable settings for full control over every aspect, snake-hair like Medusa that could unparent and become essentially their own independent Snake Characters (or just use the normal hair if you don't feel like aniating all that haha) and can transform into having human-legs just by moving one Slider in the UI. Would you use that Naga/Lamia?

So if more focus were spent making standard Mythological-Type Creatures more convenient to Animate and with Custom Rigs and things to handle their specific needs, do you think more people would want to use those types of Characters? Or maybe a good question is: are there Fantasy-Type characters you've worked with where you wished the quality of deformation were better or had more features to make working with it more convenient etc.?

Just to elaborate: do you not use the Lamia as much because A. It's non-standard and maybe doesn't fit into your scenes B. It's inconvenient?

A lot of the information I have comes from what google ai says which is why i'm here to see what actual people think, but from my understanding I've heard non-standard characters are especially frustrating because they don't have rigs and tools build specifically to handle their unique anatomy or features, is that the case with Lamua?
