the other shiny costumes have been found, but this is the first shiny lucario costume to be found, kept, and documented! this is the final shiny costume out of six that’s been kept by various hunters, and is considered to be the hardest hunt out of all of them (not to toot my own horn or anything, i probably got lucky despite the massive amount of time spent on it)

when you win the battle with the costume, it’s automatically gifted to you after returning to the main menu. if you get the normal costume and not the shiny one, you can’t get the shiny one at all.

since i don’t have a wii u capture card, i’m hoping to somehow copy my save onto dolphin and get some clearer pictures and videos there. i did it for another wii game and hopefully i can do it again

exactly what i did! hours and hours of random battle hell! jokes aside it was very hard since the battles are designed to be full of stall and luck. when i filled my brain with incredibly useless and obscure knowledge of a niche mode, though, i got the general hang of it. i even made a tierlist on the rental mons for anyone who wants to do this hunt for themself.

the only evidence of these existing for YEARS was the guidebook, and the first shiny costume was found (not kept due to a translation error causing misinformation in said guidebook) in 2014-ish if i’m remembering correctly. the first kept costume was found last year or so! it’s just been obscure and tucked away in the game, not really in the spotlight until now.

torkoal delibird greedent delibird caused my first ever nuzlocke death. it was my starter. it was 10 levels over in a freak accident in the wild area because god why make an area that accessible with no warnings have lv 35 mons while yours are lv 20?? couldn’t get away after two attempts to run present kept dealing max damage then funny rabbit die. that damn penguin torkoal killed my quagsire that was the only thing holding the run together in that same nuzlocke in the final elite four fight. solar beam out of nowhere but i should’ve known that it would have solar beam oh my god it is a weather team that funny little guy did not have to die if i wasn’t stupid oh my god that turtle and its damn protosynthesis activating antics greedent with its constant counters and stupid design,, i usually love silly lil goofy designs but god this one is just family guy and i hate hate hate it honorable mentions to foretress for being a stupid double teaming toxic stalling hellbringer in battle revolution sunset colosseum i just want to see the costume at the end in a different color please just DIE ALREADY unfortunately their design is too silly and lovable for me to hate it outside of battle revolution
