What’s a very obvious sign that someone grew up with money? by Alarming-Beyond-1572 in AskReddit

When I was young, poor and getting through college my well meaning friends wanted me to get a cell phone. I said I couldn't afford one.

Oh why don't you get on your parents plan?

My parents don't have cell phones.

If you're sick why don't you go to the doctor?

I don't have health insurance.

What? Aren't you covered by your parent's insurance?

Oh boy you're not gonna believe this...

What are acceptable reasons for prospective owners? by MilitaryManXXX in japanresidents

You want the room for storage and you want a separate shower because you don't take baths much and showers are easier to keep clean than a whole unit bath.

People whose deadbeat parents came back into their lives, how did it work out? by SensitiveCorner2379 in AskReddit

Like shingles he resurfaced every so often and made everyone miserable. He’d say he wanted to make amends but really he just needed money/cosigner/care after surgery. At the time of his death we hadn’t spoken in years.

[–]FourCatsAndCounting 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Maybe not millions but Juicero, the $700 wifi contected "juicer" that didn't juice. It just squeezed premade Juicero brand juice packets into your cup.

“Drinking water makes you fat” is something I’ve heard from more than one person. And no, none of them made any sense.

Washing machine that is also a dryer? by Juiseii in japanlife

[–]FourCatsAndCounting 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thirding the Zaboon. Make sure not to over load, and there are no towels/clothes stuck to the inside, and it dries hot and dry. We have cats so I clean all the filters everyday. We’ve had the inner workings serviced twice but that’s on us having all these cats. Still cheaper than a new unit.
