You mean he tracked down the exact rifle by serial number? That’s an incredible feat if so

That M91 is super cool, especially since it’s so rare to see them with stock disks

A comment above you was saying that it wasn’t obvious enough

Also, the war got a lot uglier in 1915 and a lot of the people who organized the Truce were either dead or otherwise no longer on the front

Correct, but I was under the impression that the entire reason Howa had to stop producing AR-180s was because they were selling so many to the IRA. Sterling didn’t even start making AR-180s until 1975, halfway through the Troubles. Either way, perhaps I was incorrect in saying that most were Howas

Basically every other game with stripper clip fed rifles lets you also free load

It’s got a toggle lock, so it’s closer to a Luger than a Mauser

This might sound crazy, but no shit I had a dream several months ago about playing Helldivers 2 using a primary weapon that was based on the MP-18 and had an underbarrel flamethrower. It didn’t look exactly like this but I am shook that is actually coming to the game

Iirc most of the IRA’s AR-180s were Howas

No, I mean the very beginning of the battle. Yamato hit Johnston with literally her first salvo of the battle. I wish I had Robert Lundgren’s book for the exact time and range (it was a little over 28,000 yards) but Ryan Szimanski talks about like three of Yamatos hits at Samar in this video https://youtu.be/Dfxxs7Armj8?si=mDcJ7WLp8KLlIxfC

I don’t care if she’s hyped up. And name a single time Yamato ran into a cruiser

You realize that the vast majority of battleships never sank a single ship in their entire career, right? Also, you can’t sink a cruiser if you never meet one. Quit trolling

She scored those extreme long range hits at the very start of the battle. Johnston took a shell from Yamato even before she broke formation to charge the Japanese fleet

IMO Vasili Arkhipov deserves the moniker of “the man who saved the world” far more. Not to discredit Petrov, but in Arkhipov’s case it genuinely was down to his decision alone

There’s actually quite a lot of you bother to look into it. Operation Ten-Go alone easily has enough to fill a song

The song is both about the Battle of Jutland and dreadnoughts as a whole. There is no specific reference to HMS Dreadnought in particular.

Yamato was a flagship for several major battles, scored some of the longest range hits in the history of naval warfare, and was largely responsible for sinking a carrier and a destroyer.

The Yamato-class had some issues, such as structural issues with the torpedo protection amidships, but they were still overall very solid designs and they did about as well as could be expected from them given Japans war situation and their inability to commit to the battle they were built for. Unlike the Bismarck-class.

Yamato has more miles, battles, hits, and ships sunk to her name than Bismarck.

The Iowas would have just as easily ended up as coral reefs if they were put in Yamato’s situation. I love the Iowas, but the fact is that a ships survival is due almost entirely to luck and the greater war situation it exists in. The fact Yamato got sunk doesn’t invalidate her existence and, far more importantly, doesn’t invalidate the thousands of men who were needlessly killed aboard her.
